Job Description

The Sr. Specialist, Business Analyst, Standards is a senior specialist role that serves as a recognized expert in business analysis for AI-consumable standards, business rules, and compliance requirements that enable compliant-by-design content creation. The role is responsible for driving execution excellence by translating legal, regulatory, policy, and operational requirements into clear standards, decision logic, and structured business rules that can be applied consistently across the content creation and assembly process.

This role focuses on how work should be done most effectively and reliably, bringing depth of expertise to define fit-for-purpose standards and support their operationalization within content supply chain processes, workflow platforms, and intelligent content assembly solutions. The individual provides advisory support to managers, product teams, and cross-functional partners, helping guide best practices, improve decision quality, and strengthen execution in regulated environments. The role may lead projects or workstreams, but does not typically have responsibility for managing large teams.

The individual will collaborate across business, compliance, legal, regulatory, product, data, and technology teams to define standards, document current- and future-state requirements, support governance, and help embed compliant content creation practices at scale. Experience with AI and GenAI use cases, combined with strong business analysis capability in regulated environments, is required

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, standards definition, compliance requirements translation, or solution design within regulated enterprise environments, with demonstrated depth in a specific discipline.

  • Recognized expertise in translating legal, regulatory, compliance, and business requirements into actionable standards, business rules, process requirements, and functional specifications.

  • Experience with AI and generative AI, including understanding of how structured rules, prompts, metadata, and decision logic can be applied to content creation and assembly processes.

  • Proven ability to drive reliable execution, improve ways of working, and deliver high-quality outputs across standards, governance, validation, and process improvement activities.

  • Experience providing advisory support to managers and cross-functional teams, helping shape best practices, clarify decisions, and strengthen execution outcomes

  • Experience leading projects or workstreams, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders and deliver results without requiring large-team leadership responsibility.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex requirements into scalable, reusable standards for digital and AI-enabled processes.

Necessary Competencies:

Recognized subject-matter expertise in business analysis and requirements management in regulated environments.

· Strong understanding of compliance, legal, regulatory, and policy requirements and how to translate them into operational standards and rules.

· Ability to advise managers and teams on best practices, decision frameworks, and effective execution approaches.

· Hands-on knowledge of AI and generative AI concepts, use cases, and implementation considerations relevant to content creation and assembly.

· Ability to define and document structured standards, business rules, decision logic, metadata requirements, and acceptance criteria for AI-consumable processes.

· Strong execution discipline with a track record of delivering accurate, dependable, and scalable outputs.

· Ability to lead projects or workstreams, coordinate stakeholders, and bring clarity in a matrixed environment.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, technology, data, life sciences, regulatory, or a related field required.

  • Relevant certifications or equivalent practical experience in business analysis, compliance, AI, GenAI, process improvement, or standards management preferred.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Standards and Requirements Definition

  • Act as a recognized expert in defining AI-consumable standards, business rules, and compliant content requirements for regulated environments.

  • Translate policies, regulations, and business needs into clear, practical standards, decision logic, metadata structures, and functional requirements that improve execution quality.

  • Provide advisory support to managers and cross-functional teams on how standards should be applied to achieve consistent, compliant, and efficient outcomes.

  • AI and GenAI Enablement

  • Guide how standards and rules should be structured for use in AI- and GenAI-enabled content creation, assembly, and review processes.

  • Partner with product, data, and technology teams to ensure standards can be operationalized through structured logic, prompts, taxonomies, and workflow controls.

  • Advise on opportunities and risks related to AI-driven content generation and help shape compliant-by-design implementation approaches.

  • Governance, Validation, and Continuous Improvement

  • Drive execution excellence across governance processes for standards and rules, including documentation, versioning, change control, and stakeholder alignment.

  • Lead or support project-based validation and testing activities to confirm that business rules and standards are correctly interpreted and applied.

  • Identify gaps, ambiguities, and improvement opportunities in standards and processes and recommend best-practice solutions for scale and reliability.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership and Change Support

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and teams by communicating standards priorities, impacts, and recommended ways of working.

  • Lead projects or workstreams as needed, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery without direct responsibility for large-team management.

  • Prepare clear analysis materials, decision documentation, and practical guidance that enable reliable execution and adoption across the content supply chain.

Success Criteria for the role:

· The role is recognized for depth of expertise and trusted guidance in standards, rules, and compliant content practices.

· Standards and business rules are clearly defined, actionable, and consistently executed across teams and solutions.
