Full Job Description
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the strategic development and continuous improvement of software systems for cutting-edge aerospace applications. You will lead cross-functional teams and projects to ensure software excellence.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:
  • Works as part of a larger Agile software development team to rapidly provide operational capabilities to the field
  • Develops software that is heavily used by US Special Operations Forces (SOF) with a high demand for additional features
  • Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions
  • Define software/and or system architecture, design software modules, and produce associated documentation per corporate or customer standards
  • Ensures software standards are met
  • Write and test software modules and integrate with other software and/or hardware components


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in experience in software development.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Experience designing and developing software
  • Experience in project definition
  • Advanced proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or C# programming languages
  • Development experience in C# ASP.NET Core
  • Ability to rapidly work with minimal supervision on projects involving both small and large teams
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Hands-on experience or demonstrated passion for agentic AI to enhance software-development workflows, accelerate coding and integration tasks, and/or improve the overall efficiency and quality of engineering processes
  • Experience working in the Defense Industry
  • Development experience in Javascript, Typescript with Frameworks like REACT
  • Advanced knowledge of the Android Platform and SDK (Software Development Kit)
  • Integration experience with the Tactical Assault Kit (TAK) ecosystem
  • Extensive experience implementing mission-oriented Tactical Data Link protocols such as Variable Message Format (VMF) and Link 16


Essential Functions:
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Hand/finger dexterity for coding and testing.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.
