PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Software Engineer in San Jose, CA
Job Duties: Design and implement software applications, features, and reliable, scalable solutions for backend and frontend systems. Use Node.js and GraphQL on the backend to integrate AWS services like SQS, Lambda, and DocumentDB. Build user-friendly interfaces with React, Typescript, and Chakra UI on the front end. Maintain automation workflows and Cl/CD pipelines using AWS CDK, ensuring seamless deployments. Develop automated tests and deliver high-quality software code to production within a short development cycle in the continuous integration and delivery environment. Write automation software testing scripts using programming languages such as Java, Junit, Selenium, Perl, Python, and other internal Java-based automation frameworks for Frontend, SOA/Services, and messaging components. Build and maintain Application Programming Interfaces (APls) and services using Node.js, GraphQL, and AWS tools. Develop intuitive user interfaces with React, Typescript, and Chakra UI. Work with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tools like AWS CDK to deploy event-driven systems. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related field.
Special Skill Requirements:
One year of experience required in each of the following:
1. JavaScript or TypeScript
2. Version control software such as Git
3. Node.js
4. React
5. Cloud development
6. Database design
7. Object-Oriented design
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:
The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:
Primary Location | Pay Range:
San Jose, California | Salary: $149,365.00-198,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
