Houston, TXThe main function of a data architect is to ensure that the data assets of an organization are supported by an architecture that supports the organization in achieving its strategic goal. A typical data architect is responsible for setting enterprise standards for databases, data integration, and the means to get to the data. Job Responsibilities: Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications. Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions. Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Basic ability to work independently and manage one time. Basic knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling. Basic knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Visual Basic, Oracle, etc.
Position Specific Responsibilities: Position is responsible for developing data models and integrations from ServiceNow that transform IT Data into consumable products. The data solutions are used for Enterprise Data Products, Software development, Reporting, and Analytic solutions in Chevron. Designs and coordinates the movement, enhancement, integration, quality, and ensure availability and integrity of data Performs end-to end data lifecycle management activities, including mapping data sources, documenting and designing interfaces and data movement, designing canonical data views, and defining data views for consumersPartners with Product Owner and Platform Architects to ensure the data standards and guardrails are established and followed for IT data Partners with security architects to ensure compliance with data security and privacy mandates Coordinates activities among Enterprise Data Architects, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Platform teams Monitors data product usage, value and feedback from stakeholders Experience in testing and troubleshooting data solutions and coordinating feedback with peers and stakeholdersJob Title: Solution ArchitectLocation: Houston TX (Onsite)Position: 2Experience: 10 YearsRequired Qualifications- Cloud with 4-6 years of experience with integration
