We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Azure Cloud and .NET technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, cloud computing, and leadership. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based applications, as well as leading a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of cloud-based applications using .NET technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team remains at the forefront of innovation.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing complex applications
- Experience in C#, .NET, API development, and SQL
- Experience with cloud-first architectures and related Azure services, e.g. Container Apps, API Management / App Gateway, Key Vault, App Services, Logic Apps, SQL MI
- Familiarity with modern cloud-native patterns principles, e.g. Twelve-Factor Apps, Service Oriented Architectures / microservices / REST, DevOps, Continuous Deployment, and Site Reliability Engineering
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code patterns and related technologies e.g. Bicep, ARM, Terraform
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience acting as a technical leader and mentor to other software engineers or developers.
- Experience working on agile teams and release trains, and knowledge of SAFe, is preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with Angular is a plus

The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.
