Responsibilities

What you'll do...
• Engineer high-quality reusable code to develop the dynamic user interface for various platforms
• Enhance testing platforms, improve test automation, foster software craftsmanship
• Surprise and delight customers and partner software engineers • Monitor and evaluate the performance of our solutions
• Collaborate with multi-skilled teams working on commercial/fleet software solutions
• Engage in Test-first Development, Test Driven Development
• Cloud development using cutting-edge technologies and integrations with Ford enterprise systems

Qualifications

You'll have...
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in experience working in front-end development.
  • 3+ years of experience with Object-oriented development languages, such as but not limited to:
    • Java
    • JavaScript
    • TypeScript
    • Kotlin
    • Python
    • C#
    • Modern databases (Relational and non-relational)

  • 1+ years of experience developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in developing web-based UI using JavaScript, React, Angular or Vue and/or Typescript.
  • Familiarity with debugging problems using appropriate tools.
  • Continuous integration/continuous delivery tools and pipelines, such as: (Jenkins, Terraform)

Even better, you may have...
  • Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles
  • Experience with developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Spring/SpringBoot/Express and RESTFUL Web services development
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with Jira backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile Tools Highly effective in working with other technical specialists, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers and business partners.
  • Experience with user interface design.
  • Passion for learning and willingness to work in a pair programming environment.
  • Understanding of fundamental data modeling

This position is a range of salary grades 5-8.

SOUTHEAST MI RESIDENTS: Please note, this job is posted as remote unless the selected candidate lives within 50 miles of Dearborn, MI. In this case we request the candidate to be on-site 1-2 days a week.
