YOUR IMPACT

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of OpenText Cloud Operations by driving Site Reliability Engineering excellence and operational innovation. You will influence technology decisions, team structures, and delivery processes while ensuring reliable and scalable cloud operations. Working closely with Cloud Operations, Engineering, IT, and Customer Service teams, you will lead high-impact initiatives, drive automation and production readiness, and set new standards for operational excellence through strong leadership, collaboration, and communication.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
  • Provide support, improve, and implement infrastructure such as code and applications on top of various platforms. Troubleshoot and triage issues arise.
  • Work closely with various teams across the organization, including the security team, development team, and operations team for requests for assistance
  • Execute with minimal technical supervision, embrace reliability constraints, and be proactive in contributing improvements to the code base
  • Promote technical vision in concert with product engineering for VM and containerized product development, deployment, and operationalization
  • Establish/maintain security guidelines, practices, and department procedures
  • Establish/maintain effective customer points of contact (development, infrastructure, teammates) for collaboration and troubleshooting projects related to existing technical issues
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, paired programming, and working sessions
  • Drive a metric-driven culture and software delivery process using data to measure overall system quality

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Extensive experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), including automation and scalable cloud operations.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash, with hands-on experience in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Proven experience supporting, troubleshooting, and optimizing web applications, load balancers, and cloud-based infrastructure in production environments.
  • Expertise with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and deployment technologies, including GitLab, Jenkins, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, and artifact management tools.
  • Solid understanding of networking, system security best practices, operating systems, storage platforms, distributed systems, APIs, and modern cloud architectures.
  • Extensive experience with centralized logging, infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and incident management tools such as PagerDuty, OpsGenie, VictorOps, Pingdom, and ThousandEyes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and drive operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and building strong partnerships across technical teams and leadership.2-5 years of experience building fully automated software application and infrastructure provisioning and deployment pipelines
  • Familiarity and experience with Windows OS
  • Extensive experience in an iterative development environment and CI/CD practices and tools is a must
  • Familiarity building and managing microservices-based systems
