Full Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Salesforce Product Owner to join our innovative and agile focused team to help Salesforce users work smarter, not harder.

Role Summary

The Sr. Salesforce Product Owner is responsible for leading the strategic enhancement planning, enhancement execution, adoption improvements, and supporting Agile development process by building a collaborative relationship with business and technology partners. The Sr. Salesforce Product Owner role is part of the Salesforce Product Management team and supports the McKesson US Pharma Distribution and Oncology & Multispecialty Onboarding teams. Overall, responsibilities include proactively improving the Salesforce business processes and utilization by planning, measuring, analyzing, documenting, and testing while effectively communicating with business partners and technology delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Own Salesforce Business Processes
  • Understand the Salesforce business processes related to the Onboarding teams
  • Maintain current state Salesforce process documents for each business process


Lead Enhancement Strategy and Execution
  • Lead requirement gathering planning sessions with business partners focused on improving Salesforce processes and functionality
  • Maintain on-going business roadmap enhancement plans and prioritization with segment leaders
  • Collaborate with the Salesforce Product Management to prioritize enhancements
  • Identify enhancements to improve maturity level, user experience, and adoption for each segment function
  • Develop and manage project plans supporting enhancement development life cycle initiatives (includes requirement gathering, UAT, training, go-live, and communication planning by partnering with support teams)


Own Adoption Strategy
  • Collaborate with business partners and Sr. Salesforce Product Manager to develop and track adoption metrics
  • Ensure Salesforce user experience is optimized and drives adoption
  • Drive quick win adoption improvement solutions by collaborating with training team and business partners
  • Partner with the Sr. Salesforce Product Manager to develop adoption strategies focused on improving efficient and effective product usage


Support Agile Development
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as Scrum planning meetings, daily standup meetings, backlog grooming sessions, and retrospective meetings
  • Collaborate and support the Agile delivery team utilizing Technology's Agile framework to resolve defects and build enhancements
  • Translate business requirements (defects and enhancements) to the assigned Technology scrum team
  • Clearly define and document user stories requirements
  • Communicate requirements and value drivers during prioritization planning sessions
  • Perform user acceptance test planning and execution
  • Participate and support stakeholders through user acceptance test planning, execution, and ensure Salesforce configuration meets business requirements


Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree: Business Process Management, Information Systems or another business, process, computer or process-based discipline or equivalent experience

Critical Skills
  • 7 years of product ownership or product / program management experience and a record of success in analyzing, designing, and deploying features across products and solutions
  • 7 years of Salesforce.com or other CRM / SFA or similar platform experience


Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Ability to use strong communication skills to convey complex ideas to a wide diversity of people, including technical, business, and leadership teams
  • Strong analytics skills needed
  • Strong business acumen needed
  • Experience with development tools including Atlassian or JIRA
  • Experience with UX design preferred
  • Experience with visualization reporting tools
  • Experience in working with various stakeholders related to technical solutions development
  • Excellent technical depth in requirements development suitable for development
  • Gathering and analyzing aggregate and objective feedback related to product development
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing principles and dimensional models and how data is sourced is strongly preferred
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills


Environment

This role is a hybrid position for candidates based in DFW. The selected candidate is expected to work on-site at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in-office days may be designated based on team needs and business priorities.
