JOB TITLE: Senior Safety & Quality Specialist

DEPARTMENT: Operations

LOCATION: Remote

REPORTS TO: Program Manager, Safety & Quality.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Safety & Quality Specialist provides administrative and programmatic support to the Safety and Quality functions within Quanta Government Solutions. This role supports the Safety Manager and Quality Manager in tracking submittals, maintaining compliance calendars, coordinating training requirements, and ensuring documentation aligns with ISO and NQA-1 program requirements.

The Specialist serves as a liaison with Human Resources for workforce tracking, job descriptions, and related documentation, and supports audit readiness by maintaining audit schedules and assisting with internal and external audits. This position is critical to ensuring organization, consistency, and compliance across Safety and Quality programs.  This role includes participation in both desktop and occasional field audits to support compliance verification and continuous improvement efforts

What You'll Do

Program & Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to Safety and Quality leadership
  • Track and manage program deliverables, submittals, and action items
  • Maintain organized records and documentation for Safety and Quality programs

Compliance & Calendar Management

  • Develop, maintain, and track compliance calendars for Safety and Quality requirements
  • Ensure deadlines for inspections, reporting, training, and certifications are met
  • Track regulatory and internal compliance obligations

Training & Workforce Coordination

  • Track employee training requirements in alignment with ISO and NQA-1 programs
  • Coordinate with HR to maintain accurate employee counts and workforce data
  • Assist in obtaining, tracking, and maintaining job descriptions as required
  • Monitor onboarding and training compliance for new and existing employees

Audit Support & Assurance Activities

  • Maintain and manage the Safety and Quality audit calendar
  • Assist in preparation for internal and external audits, including document collection and coordination
  • Participate in desktop audits to verify compliance with Safety and Quality program requirements
  • Support field audits and assessments as needed to validate implementation of Safety and Quality processes
  •  Document audit results, observations, and findings.
  • Assist in Root cause Analysis Non-conformance evaluations.
  • Assist in identifying compliance gaps and supporting corrective action development
  • Track corrective actions and ensure closure

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready records for Safety and Quality programs
  • Assist in generating reports, metrics, and summaries for leadership
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through tracking and documentation

Additional Support

  • Assist with other Safety and Quality program needs assigned, including potential participation in audits
What You'll Bring

Required Education and Experience

  • MUST HAVE - Experience with NQA-1 Quality Programs
  • 5+ years of experience in an administrative, coordinator, compliance, or program support role
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience tracking data, documentation, or compliance-related activities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) or similar tools
  • Strong communication and attention to detail

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience supporting Safety and/or Quality programs
  • Familiarity with ISO standards
  • Exposure to audit processes, compliance programs, or internal assessments
  • Safety or Quality-related certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CQM-C) are a plus, but not required
  • Experience supporting both desktop and field audits a plus
