Sr. Risk Associate

We're embarking on an exciting new chapter in how we manage risk and drive resiliency across our organization-and we want you to be a key part of it!

We are on the lookout for a proactive, sharp-minded Risk Sr Associate to join our Customer Resiliency team and help us build out our destination-state controls. In this critical and fun role, you will be instrumental in calling out potential pitfalls, mitigating risks and collaborating with others while building well managed controls. We need someone with an eye for detail, a proven track record in risk mitigation, and a commitment to applying best practices management principles.   • Lead control builds and enhancements through our new well-managed FORGE process utilizing a Pod approach to drive teams toward key milestones to deliver destination state controls
  • Bring a risk-first mindset to everything we do
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver destination-state controls to mitigate risks in our business
  • Lead multiple meetings with key stakeholders during the execution of the control build or enhancement through the FORGE process
  • Providing visibility to all stakeholders as to where each control is in the process

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or military experience
• At least 1 year of experience in project or process management

Preferred Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in Project or process management
• At least 1 year of experience in Risk Management
• At least 2 years of experience in Presentation/Communication
• At least 1 year of experience in Change management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $94,600 - $107,900 for Sr. Risk Associate

Richmond, VA: $86,000 - $98,200 for Sr. Risk Associate

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
