  • Collaborate with internal customers on die deliverables and optimize the RF chain
  • Work with layout designers to apply best practices in layout
  • Design and utilize analog blocks like Bandgap, LDO, and bias circuits as needed
  • Create test laminates to evaluate taped out hardware and troubleshoot measurement issues with lab technicians
  • Conduct peer reviews and provide clear documentation of design results and program updates
  • Execute projects on an aggressive schedule

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The design and development of RF LNA and switches for cellular applications, potentially using SOI and BiCMOS technologies
  • Support standalone LNA and switch modules and their integration into a multi-chip module (MCM)
  • Working with the internal module customers with die deliverables and optimizing the RF chain
  • Working with layout designers to use best practices for layout
  • Designing and using analog blocks like Bandgap, LDO, Bias circuits etc from time to time
  • Creating test laminates to measure the taped out hardware and working with Lab technicians to troubleshoot measurements issues and perform sim vs meas correlation
  • Conducting peer reviews of their designs, including expected and/or actual results
  • Writing regular program updates and communicate progress and issues in a clear and consise manner.
  • Be able to execute to an aggressive schedule


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • MSEE or PhD in an RF related field
  • >5 years of experience in LNA and/or other RFIC designs
  • Extensive experience designing with HFSS, Cadence, and ADS
  • Strong background with RF measurements and characterization
  • Experience in standard RF design techniques and best practices
  • Working knowledge of device physics for IC design, especially tradeoffs for LNA and switch configuration
  • Strong background in various linear and nonlinear simulation techniques and simulators
  • Capable of refining their simulation results to achieve excellent predictability with the goal of first pass success
  • Good communication skills
  • Be able to work independently
  • Knowledge of RF PA design and other large signal circuit design is considered a plus
  • Candidates with successful release of production LNA and switches for mobile applications would be highly considered
