Senior Revenue Recognition Analyst

Location:

US - Remote

Overview:

Blue Yonder is looking for a detail-oriented revenue recognition analyst to join the Revenue Recognition team, focusing on ensuring compliance under US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role will conduct contract reviews of SaaS and accompanying agreements, document revenue conclusions of executed agreements and advise on agreement structures to optimize contractual terms for the company. This role is integral to the company's financial reporting process, offering opportunities to work within a cross-functional environment.

What you will do:
  • Ensure accurate revenue recognition by conducting contract reviews of agreements and documenting revenue conclusions in accordance with ASC 606 standards
  • Work with Sales and Legal teams to advise on agreement structures to optimize contractual terms that optimize the company's corporate strategy
  • Review revenue reconciliations, revenue variance reports and other revenue reporting tools and work with the Revenue Accounting team to ensure a timely and accurate financial close
  • Assist with SSP considerations to enhance and streamline operational processes as the business evolves
  • Draft technical accounting memos related to relevant new guidance and/or non-standard transactions and business models
  • Interact with external auditors to provide audit support and revenue conclusions that supports the company's financial statements
  • Assist with IT system projects including Revenue Management System upgrades and acquired entity integration
  • Work closely with various business partners to address technical revenue recognition concerns for potential new deal models
  • Work with respective business partners to improve existing processes and identify areas for automation


What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. CPA accreditation preferred
  • 5+ years progressive Big 4 and/or Industry finance experience with a focus on revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP
  • Proficient in ASC 606 and SOX accounting standards
  • Experience researching technical accounting topics and drafting technical accounting memos and policies
  • Ability to work in virtual environment while supporting sales individuals who are geographically diverse
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to articulate both verbally and written
  • Strong MS Excel skills


The salary range for this position is: $105,261.54 - $132,738.45

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
