Sr Revenue AccountantWHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGAs a Senior Revenue Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing our revenue recognition processes. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and compliance while maintaining our commitment to excellence. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Collaborate with accounts receivable team and ensure accurate and timely processing of customer invoices and payments.
- Oversee revenue recognition processes in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of revenue.
- Analyze contracts and agreements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment.
- Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes related to revenue.
- Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations related to revenue recognition.
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis of revenue streams
QUALIFICATIONSExperience and Education: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in revenue accounting or related field
Communication Skills: - Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts, both verbally and written
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner to team members as well as individuals at all levels of Rinchem
Computer Skills: - Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Advance Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, Large Data Set Analysis, XLookup, Formulas)
- Emphasis on advanced Excel skills and experience in data analysis and reporting
Other Qualifications: - Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606)
- Robust experience in posting journal entries and clear understanding of trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet
