Job Description

The Senior Research Specialist is responsible for leading the creation and development of Talent Tech Labs' market research, including surveys, trends, data analysis, and benchmarking. This hybrid role involves both research and consulting/client advisory functions, requiring interaction with clients to understand their technology and challenges, conducting research, and delivering findings and recommendations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Research and Content Development:
  • Conduct independent qualitative research from third-party sources.
  • Perform primary research tasks, including expert interviews, due diligence, discovery, and technology product demos.
  • Write and edit research content, including long-form reports, provider resumes, and blog posts.
  • Develop and disseminate research content via published reports, conferences, and webinars.
  • Conduct ongoing market scanning for HR technology trends and opportunities.
  • Client Advisory and Consulting:
  • Lead and support client advisory projects, including analyst briefings, strategic engagements, and technology provider advisory engagements.
  • Interface with clients to understand their technology needs and challenges.
  • Synthesize research findings and deliver recommendations to client leadership.
  • Address client follow-up questions and one-off information requests via email.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage research projects, ensuring timely communication with team members and clients.
  • Maintain project timelines and deliverables, including scoping potential client engagements and determining product fit.
  • Collaborate with QWA on partner engagements and peer reviews of colleagues' research reports.
  • Thought Leadership and Industry Representation:
  • Act as a thought leader in market-leading and emerging technologies for talent and HR.
  • Represent the QWA research brand at industry conferences and speaking opportunities.
  • Build relationships with technology providers, talent practitioners, and thought leaders.
  • Support for Sales and Client Success:
  • Assist sales and client success teams in prospecting and renewals.
  • Support the promotion of QWA research via marketing, events, and partnerships.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultative services, particularly in larger engagements such as opportunity maps.
  • Contribute to overall product strategy and process improvement of QWA business.


Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in research, project management, consulting or related roles, preferably within a consulting firm or professional services environment/Talent Acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of research methodologies, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, including statistical software and data visualization tools.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with a proven track record of engaging with C-suite executives.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Must be able to travel

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Technical Skills: Basic technical skills including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, Slack, Salesforce and other Survey Tools are essential, with additional training provided for specific needs such as survey analysis or data visualization.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Teamwork/Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small, agile team.
  • Leadership/Management: Project management and thought leadership skills, with occasional mentorship of seasonal interns.

  • Research Management: Skills in data analysis, project management, time management, and familiarity with research methodology.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
  • Bachelor's degree-related field
