Sr Research EngineerA senior-level role that leads strategic, multidisciplinary projects, serves as a thought leader, and builds the company's innovation network.
As an Sr Research Engineer you will: - Run complex research projects with minimum oversight.
- Create new conceptual designs and validates them.
- Contribute to the innovation strategy.
- Serve as a mentor and leader across engineering levels.
- Educate other G&W teams on new technology and processes.
- Consult and supports other teams as needed within area of expertise.
- Oversee critical research and innovation initiatives from more junior engineers.
- Build partnerships with universities, labs, and research centers.
- Represent the organization at global technical conferences.
- Publish research findings and contribute to organizational IP.
- Develop schedules, coordinate, and manage feasibility projects of minor to major size with little to no supervision.
- Develop budgets with little to no supervision.
We are looking for someone who:- Holds a BSEE or BSME and 15+ years of experience.
- Has demonstrated thought leadership in technical organizations.
- Possesses advanced skills in managing research ecosystems.
- Has extensive knowledge of research methodologies and industry standards.
- Is recognized as an expert in high voltage technology.
- Has exceptional leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Has a strong network of academic and industry collaborators.
- Can show a proven ability to influence strategic decisions.
The Physical Demands / Working Conditions are: - General Office Environment, PC use
- Light Lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less)
- Standing
- Heavy Lifting (frequent 25 lbs +) - not frequent
What we offer you:Typical pay is $96,555 -128,577 annually.
