As a key member of our team of analysts, you will play a critical role in collaboration with teams across our Revenue Operations department, for developing analysis and managing projects to resolve revenue issues quickly, improving yield, and supporting our insurance and internal partners. This includes but is not limited to developing strategic recommendations across the team and department in key focus areas, such as revenue strategy, process improvements, and operations innovations. You will work directly with internal partners to resolve and manage high impact revenue issues. Much of the role will be focused in identifying opportunities with reimbursement, root causing and sizing these opportunities, and working with various internal and external partners to arrive at a solution to completion. The role has a high level of visibility with leadership given as our team supports this highest impact issues, and the requirement to work cross-functionally, and overall ability to impact the bottom line. The right candidate will be expected to: 1) perform data analyses and identify trends 2) effectively create and communicate key messages from analysis and propose and drive efficiencies 3) drive and lead projects start to finish.

This position is responsible for leading and demonstrating expertise in the report building process including partnering with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, identifying and aggregating data, building & automating using analytical tools and distributing to end users in order to drive action and identify opportunities across one or more business teams within Revenue Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Analysis & Technical
  • Subject matter expert for understanding where to get data, how to pull it and how to use it across multiple databases (ex. EDW, SQL) in order to integrate into another database or report; assists others in finding the right data & correctly aggregating
  • Writes requirements, designs, builds and automates highly complex reports utilizing advanced skills in tools such as Excel, SQL and Tableau (ex. Utilizing multiple different complex data sources, representing data capture at multiple points in time, designed in most efficient way to allow greater usability & minimizes production time)
  • Assists others in building reports
  • Continuously learns new technical capabilities & recommends how they can be leveraged
  • Acts as a team resource for troubleshooting issues and QC'ing errors
  • Utilizes technical skills to automate processes in addition to recurring reports (ex. Automates email distribution, creating automatic payment requests, automating QC processes, building temporary data capture needs for pilot processes)


Problem Solving:
  • Understands how metrics across multiple reports and business lanes are interrelated and impact business outcomes
  • Proactively raises awareness for how proposed changes may impact report accuracy & functionality including reports outside of their direct responsibility
  • Translates data into actionable knowledge for the business; through building of complex reports; identifies opportunities and recommends actions to business leader using data within reports
  • Leverages thorough understanding of source data to identify root cause of report issues & proposes solutions/fixes


Project & Stakeholder management:
  • Develops report requirements by collecting input from business partners; makes recommendations to support more efficient or visually representative report build
  • Effectively leads working sessions across multiple stakeholders; mentors others on building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Directs & executes on next steps within projects for which they are responsible
  • Prioritizes time according to value & business need
  • Influences change and drives results
  • Articulates technical issues to diverse audiences; provides the key takeaways, recommendations & gains alignment on next steps


Mentorship:
  • Provides direction and help with others work; viewed as a mentor and expert across the team

Travel 5-10% of time (1-2 onsite meetings a year)

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study
  • 6-8+ years of data analysis and Excel pivot table and query building experience; Ability to analyze complex data to be proactive in business decisions
  • Advanced skills in one of more analytical or report building tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python, VBA, and/or Power BI
  • Expert in computer proficiency in Microsoft Office tools with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint and Teams
  • Strong analytical and report building skills
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, easily digestible manner to a range of audiences
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to successfully perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position

Preferred:
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience in healthcare or revenue cycle
  • Demonstrated strengths in organization, attention-to-detail, follow-through, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in and coding in SQL and/or Python, VBA, Power BI, Microsoft Access, Excel Macros, and Tableau, Netezza, Google Cloud
  • Relative coding and Excel certifications

The Salary Range for the role is $70,000.00 - $106,000.00 per year.

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour
