Job Description

As Sr Quality & Operational Excellence Engineering Manager at Honeywell, you will shape how quality and operational excellence come to life across PT-Sundyne. This is a high-impact opportunity to gain global, multi-site experience across six manufacturing locations, influence leaders and teams across disciplines, and strengthen the systems that protect our customers and enable sustainable growth.

You will report directly to our VP ISC Technical and may work from Charlotte, NC, Arvada, CO, or Dijon, France on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will serve as a steward of the Quality Management System across all PT-Sundyne sites, helping each location translate enterprise expectations into disciplined, effective daily practice. Working side by side with the Operations multi-site leader, you will drive value across quality, delivery, productivity, cost, and customer experience while building capability in site-based quality professionals and strengthening performance across the network.

This role is built for a practical, energetic leader who knows what a strong Quality Management System looks like and can help others make it real. The selected candidate will be a credible leader, a skilled practitioner of Lean, Six Sigma, and manufacturing best practices, and someone who understands how quality creates value for customers and the business.

At Honeywell, our people leaders play a critical role in developing and supporting employees so they can perform at their best and drive change across the company. You will help build a strong, diverse team by developing talent and successors, strengthening engagement and retention, and fostering an inclusive culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the PT-Sundyne steward for the Quality Management System across six manufacturing locations, strengthening governance, consistency, compliance, and site-level ownership.
  • Partner with site leaders and quality professionals to assess system effectiveness, identify gaps, and convert priorities into practical, sustainable improvements.
  • Develop and coach site-based quality professionals, building technical depth, leadership capability, problem-solving discipline, and a strong global community of practice.
  • Work side by side with the Operations multi-site leader to improve quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance across the manufacturing network.
  • Advance customer satisfaction by improving product and process quality, strengthening delivery performance, and accelerating effective response to customer and operational issues.
  • Lead cross-site problem solving and continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, FMEA, statistical methods, and other manufacturing best practices.
  • Establish meaningful performance rhythms and transparent measures that help leaders identify risk, prioritize action, and sustain results.
  • Connect Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to resolve systemic issues, transfer best practices, and prevent recurrence.
  • Promote a culture in which quality is owned by every function, improvement is driven at the source, and teams are empowered to challenge the status quo.
  • Support internal and external audit readiness and ensure corrective actions address root causes and strengthen the overall management system.

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Science, Technology, Mathematics, Operations, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, quality, engineering, operational excellence, or a related technical environment.
  • Hands-on application of Lean, Six Sigma, structured problem solving, and manufacturing best practices to improve business performance.
  • Working knowledge of effective Quality Management Systems, including process governance, corrective action, risk management, audit readiness, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel to PT-Sundyne manufacturing locations as business needs require.

WE VALUE
  • A gamechanger mindset: curious, ambitious, action oriented, and ready to take on broader multi-site leadership responsibility.
  • Advanced degree or professional certification in Engineering, Quality, Operations, Lean, Six Sigma, or a related field.
  • Experience in a multi-site, global, engineered-product, or high-mix manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of recognized quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or comparable industry frameworks.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills with the ability to build commitment at every level of the organization.
  • Experience with supplier quality, customer quality, new product introduction, manufacturing process control, or reliability improvement.
  • Fluency with quality and operational tools such as FMEA, SPC, control plans, layered process audits, root cause analysis, and quality data analytics.
  • A practical systems thinker who can balance standards and governance with speed, simplicity, and frontline usability.
  • A passion for developing people, building strong networks, and creating an inclusive environment where teams learn and improve together.
