Kalrez® Process Control System (PCS) Champion

Location: Tralee Park, Newark DE

About the Role

We are seeking a Process Control System (PCS) Champion to lead process control excellence at our Kalrez® Tralee Park manufacturing sites. This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who is passionate about statistical process control, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement. As the site's PCS subject matter expert, you will embed Process Control Planning (PCP) and Six Sigma principles into daily operations, ensuring robust, capable, and predictable manufacturing processes. You will partner closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to reduce variation, improve process performance, and strengthen product quality for our customers.

What You Will Do

Process Control Leadership
  • Serve as the primary PCS focal point for the site, guiding consistent application of process control practices
  • Develop, maintain, and deploy the site's Process Control System (PCS) procedures
  • Ensure PCS requirements are followed through audits, coaching, and direct engagement with technical teams
    • Lead structured PCS reviews using tools such as: Process Mapping, Cause & Effect (C&E) analysis, FMEA, control charts & Measurement System Analysis (MSA)


Data, Training & Coaching
  • Lead routine SPC and control chart reviews to ensure process stability and capability
  • Train and coach:
    • Manufacturing operators in basic SPC
    • Engineers (Manufacturing, Operations, R&D) in PCS and advanced data analysis
  • Deliver SPC and data analytics training to site teams and support field teams (Sales, Technical Service & Development)
  • Act as a technical expert in: MSA / GR&R, Design of Experiments (DOE), Process change criteria, Tool, Equipment matching and validation


Strategic & Cross-Functional Impact
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to reduce process variation and drive continuous improvement through Process control
  • Analyze complex process data to identify trends, relationships, and improvement opportunities
  • Support customer audits, technical reviews, and special requests related to process control
  • Collaborate with other Qnity sites to share best practices and advance PCS maturity across the network
  • Influence and support Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs) using PCS and Six Sigma tools


What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, quality, or process engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with SPC, statistical analysis, and data-driven problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to improve process consistency, quality performance, and manufacturing capability
  • Experience leading technical projects involving multiple engineering disciplines
  • Ability to make sound, independent engineering judgments
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across organizational levels and cultures
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results on time
  • Working knowledge of database fundamentals and data mining techniques


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience with tools such as JMP, Minitab, NWA, and MIDAs digital platforms
  • Hands-on experience with chemical and physical material analysis
  • Experience working directly with customers and suppliers, including translating process control requirements into production execution
