What You Will Be DoingAs the Sr. Quality Engineer, Advanced Programs you will be a part of shaping and safeguarding the quality of our products and processes in a dynamic development environment.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Developing and reviewing quality standards, processes, methods, work instructions, and procedures for manufactured and procured products
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are implemented and met
- Identifying, trending, and resolving non-conformances in a timely manner
- Driving corrective-action initiatives with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative, data-driven culture

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in related discipline, with 5 years or more of professional experience, 4 years professional experience with a related Master's degree, or equivalent combined education/experience
- Must have an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Knowledge of manufacturing/quality processes and documentation
-Experience developing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products
-Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming material
Desired skills- Root Cause & corrective action implementation experience including Failure Review Board chair or co-chair
-Experience working with multiple levels of Government customers and stakeholders
-Experience with MRA/Readiness Reviews
-Experience solving complex problems associated with the quality of products
- Effective communication skills including written, oral and listening and technical writing
-Demonstrated presentation skills
-A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
-Thorough understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
-Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment with strong skills in AS9100 certification and compliance requirements
-Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
-Ability to travel
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
