Full Job Description
The Senior Project Manager will play a critical role in the strategic separation of a business unit from its parent company. Reporting directly to the Separation Business Operations Project Leader. This position is responsible for coordinating and driving cross-functional efforts to stand up new operational capabilities, integrate existing functions, and sunset legacy dependencies within the Pharmaceutical Supplier Services and Programs (PSSP) organization. The role requires exceptional project leadership, analytical capability, and the ability to manage ambiguity and shifting priorities across a diverse stakeholder environment.

The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder with experience leading large-scale initiatives, managing competing priorities, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and delivering results in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program & Project Management
  • Lead multiple concurrent projects and strategic initiatives across the PSSP portfolio.
  • Develop and execute project plans including scope, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resource requirements.
  • Ensure alignment between project goals, business objectives, and organizational priorities.
  • Monitor project health and proactively address risks, issues, and barriers to success.
  • Facilitate project governance and decision-making forums.
  • Use business and data analytics to support decision-making, prioritize efforts, and track progress toward operational independence.
  • Troubleshoot to solution and resolve roadblocks or challenges to meeting program timelines


Process Improvement & Business Transformation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and standardize project execution methodologies.
  • Develop governance structures, workflows, tools, and documentation to support organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead business process improvement and change management efforts across the PSSP organization.


Rx Sourcing Program Support
  • Lead and coordinate strategic sourcing initiatives focused on supplier transitions, onboarding, contract alignment, implementation planning, and operational readiness.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Category Management, Operations, Sales, IT, and Supplier teams to ensure successful execution of sourcing strategies.
  • Track implementation milestones, business impacts, risks, and project dependencies.


Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Build strong partnerships across business, operational, and technical teams.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, planning sessions, and executive reviews.
  • Communicate project updates, key decisions, risks, and business impacts to leadership and project teams.
  • Develop presentations, dashboards, status reports, and executive communications.
  • Deliver clear, concise communication to stakeholders at all levels, adjusting tone and content as appropriate.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in project or program management, preferably within carve-outs, or enterprise transformation efforts.
  • Strong track record of cross-functional project leadership and execution under dynamic conditions.
  • High proficiency in tools such as Smartsheet, Google Platforms Microsoft Project, Tableau, Excel, or equivalent platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, including experience presenting to executive audiences.
  • Deep understanding of business operations, process development, and change management.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Experience managing direct or dotted-line project resources is a plus.
