Job Description

As a Sr. Project Manager here at Honeywell, you will guide and manage projects to ensure their successful execution and delivery. Your expertise in project management and your ability to work with cross-functional teams will be crucial in aligning projects with business goals and customer requirements. By defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, you will ensure that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. Monitoring project progress, managing timelines and budgets, and mitigating risks and issues will be key responsibilities in this role.

You will report directly to our Project Management Director and you will work out of our designated location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on project outcomes and contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of capital projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure adherence to project management best practices.
  • Work closely with the business finance and site controller to provide project evaluation and economic analysis on the capital investments for such managed projects.
  • Manage the overall effort leading to an approved Appropriation Request (AR).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Responsible for forecasting and managing capital expenditures monthly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.


Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 8-10 years of project management experience in refining or petrochemical industry
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication and people-oriented skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Experience in risk management and problem-solving
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
  • Willing and able to travel 20-30%

WE VALUE
  • Previous experience working with SAP Project Systems Module and EcoSys.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Familiarity with procurement and contract management.
  • Civil structural experience is a plus
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams
  • Strong thoughtful and problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing project requirements
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning
