Total Rewards: Benefits/Incentive Information JOB DESCRIPTIONGENERAL FUNCTIONThis role will lead the Field Operations of the Industrial Projects Team. Responsibilities include managing the development and implementation of RXO projects and acts as a liaison between Engineering, operations, as well as contractors and vendors from project conception to completion. Also ensure the development, organization and control of project schedules forecasting, drive implementation and tracking cost and results.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides leadership and support in development, assessment, and execution of projects.
- Builds and fosters collaborative relationships with all team members.
- Partners with management to develop capital investment strategy, determine project and initiative priorities.
- Applies knowledge and experience to identify risks, develop and evaluate alternative solutions to drive project success.
- Develop, create specifications, obtain quotes, and execute infrastructure projects.
- Interact with contractors and vendors to provide guidance, and monitor progress to ensure timely and safe completion of projects
- Establish project schedules and Gantt charts to help monitor project progress.
- Act as a liaison between Site Operations and Capital Project Management Teams to schedule installations, equipment movements, and contractor work.
- Submit purchase order requests for materials and labor.
- Review vendor invoices for approval.
- Utilize AutoCad layout plans for equipment and utility information.
- Ensure project success by providing project milestones, budgets, reports, and other means of communication to the organization.
- Forecast materials, labor needs, and schedule multi-discipline team for industrial projects group.
- Assess team member skils and perform development plan and reviews.
- Provide support and leadership in Environmental, Health and Safety.
- Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 7+ years project management experience
- Experience with AutoCad, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Project software.
- Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-starter comfortable in an ambiguous, project-oriented environment
- Strong knowledge-base and experience on plant infrastructures, design and equipment installation
- Working knowledge of environmental, safety and health requirements
- Ability to meet travel schedule as required, up to 30%.
- Current passport and ability to travel throughout North America
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Project Management Software programs experience
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
- Experience supervising personnel and leading a team
- Project background with contractors and vendors
