About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join the BTI Studio project management team, which impacts the Gartner client experience by ensuring our best practice, insight-driven content receives efficient writing, editing, and design support. As a Senior Project Manager on this team, you’ll manage the production of Gartner’s published insights and provide project management expertise on complex business-critical initiatives, systems, tools, and processes. Reporting to the Director, BTI Studio Project Management, you will work closely with writing, editorial, and design team managers; content creators and leaders across BTI; and other stakeholders key to Gartner’s ability to publish high-quality insights quickly.

What You Will Do

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage a diverse mix of complex content projects and initiatives from planning to implementation, with a focus on efficiency and while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Define operational and business requirements, translate short-and long-term strategy into actionable priorities and goals, identify the best-fit processes, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

  • Ensure resources are used wisely and success criteria (including deadlines) are met.

  • Independently apply and advocate for best practices in project planning methodology on all projects, underpinned by fact-based data.

Communication:

  • Work independently with project stakeholders of all levels, across regions and business units, and represent BTI Studio with strong communication and a total ownership mindset.

  • Be a trusted advisor to senior leaders in Studio and across BTI.

  • Design and deliver effective communications and presentations within and beyond BTI Studio.

  • Manage ongoing interactions and communications with internal stakeholders to provide transparency and drive project results.

  • Coach and support team members to develop their skills and provide seamless cross-team coverage as needed

Process and Tool Management:

  • Design excellent processes and/or optimize existing processes and tools as business needs evolve, using principles of efficiency, simplicity, data utilization, and change management and ensuring we solve for the root cause of the problem at hand.

  • Proactively document processes to ensure teamwide consistency.

  • Guide BTI Studio leadership on which new tools or processes will help the department reach its goals.

Change Management and Strategic Thinking:

  • Drive department-level change efforts of increasing complexity and ambiguity, obtaining leadership buy-in as needed.

  • Help teams adjust to and permanently adopt changes with clear communication and transitional support strategy.

  • Maintain and apply an excellent understanding of Gartner’s business model and insights, raising potential business risks proactively and making decisions consistently aligned with business priorities.

  • Seek out opportunities to identify, support, and drive initiatives that innovate and add business value.


What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 5+ years’ business experience, with progressive responsibility, in an extremely fast-paced and global workforce environment; experience working with a creative team preferred

  • Exceptional project management skills, including understanding business operations; designing and managing optimized processes;, scoping, planning, and managing a heavy, diverse workload of projects, often with competing priorities and tight deadlines, maintaining complete control over process at all times; organization, prioritization, and time management; attention to detail; and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad spectrum of roles and titles, from advising senior management to leading less-experience colleagues

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player, leading and executing as an expert providing guidance and value along the way.

  • A self-driven approach to work and ability to thrive and guide others through high-change environments

  • Experience with Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive) and MS Suite (Outlook, Teams) preferred. Experience with a content management system and/or project management system (e.g., ClickUp, Wrike, Asana, Monday, Smartsheet) strongly preferred
