POSITION OVERVIEW: As a
Sr. Project Engineer at LJA
Transportation , you will lead and support the technical design of roadway projects from concept through final delivery. You will develop complex roadway design details and calculations, oversee technical design, lead project teams, mentor developing technical experts, and collaborate closely with Project Managers. You will also communicate and present project details to internal and external team members while helping maintain strong relationships with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and employees.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:- Developing complex roadway design details and calculations
- Overseeing project technical design
- Leading a project team
- Mentoring up-and-coming technical experts
- Collaborating with Project Managers
- Presenting project details to internal and external team members
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:- Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Proven experience producing schematics and Plans, Specifications, and Estimates
- Proven roadway design experience
- Effective communication skills to engage with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and employees while fostering strong relationships
IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE:- Bentley ORD experience
- Previous work experience in an AEC-related firm
