Full Job Description
Are you known for your attention to detail, superb documentation skills, and enjoy collaborating with engineers? This may be the position for you! As a Sr Project Coordinator, you will utilize your expert time management and communication skills to collaborate with vendors, suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time. Your key responsibilities include coordinating project activities, managing resources, and maintaining comprehensive documentation to support project execution.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Break projects into actionable tasks and set timeframes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to facilitate project execution and assign tasks to internal teams.
  • Assist with schedule management and ensure client needs are met as projects evolve.
  • Help prepare budgets and analyze risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor project progress and address issues through proper communication and escalation.
  • Act as a point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders.
  • Work with the Program Manager to remove roadblocks.
  • Use tools to monitor and control performance, plans, and expenditures.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and status reports.
  • Liaise with stakeholders in Planning, Operations, SCPM, Planning, and Procurement to facilitate project execution and assign tasks to internal teams.
  • Assess and monitor turn around time for procurements to ensure accurate backdates are fed into the schedule for parts demand deliverables / BOMs
  • Monitor parts demand / BOM release and procurement completion progress and address issues or bottlenecks through proper communication and escalation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Security Clearance

  • 6+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Expert understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Fundamental MS Office Skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated ownership of tasks, organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Possess strong communication and client-facing, teamwork skills.
  • Functional understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) over non-labor scope or other demonstrated experience managing schedule/budget for discrete scope
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Advanced certification in Project Management [e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP)].
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, Aircraft/Aerospace, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry, particularly commercial aircraft and/or roles centering or adjacent to materials acquisition
  • Prior Experience with:
    • Development of proposals to include administrative tasks as assigned.
    • Data entry into Project Management (PM) Systems.
    • Collaborating with internal Leadership, vendors, suppliers, other stakeholders, and internal teams, such as Integrated Product Team (IPT) leads, Control Account Managers (CAMs), Tech Leads, and Project Administrators (PAs) to ensure program activities will accomplish objectives.
    • Conflict resolution especially those related to resource assignments.
    • Monitoring project progress against baseline schedule and facilitating process improvement initiatives


Essential Function:
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
  • Strong hand/finger dexterity for typing and document handling.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
