Description
The Project Coordinator supports project execution across the Fabrication division and ensures smooth delivery to customers both internal and external. This role works closely with Project Managers on larger projects and shop foreman on all projects, Engineers, vendors, estimators and field teams to ensure fabrication projects are within budget, and in alignment with customer expectations. The Project Coordinator must demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A background in custom manufacturing processes is required to be successful at this job.
Role and Responsibilities- Ensure stated timelines for delivery are held to.
- Ensure the fabrication schedule is kept up to date and the shop is meeting agreed upon milestones to hit OTD dates.
- Daily communication with shop foreman to ensure agreed upon milestones are being met.
- Review drawings, specifications, quotes to have proper knowledge of project expectations.
- Coordinate with vendors and our procurement team and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor smaller project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders both internal and external.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards.
- Maintain organized project documentation and assist with project closeout and logistics in regard to shipment or pickup of product.
- Collaborate/communicate across teams to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
Requirements
Qualifications and Education Requirements & Competencies- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in interpreting structural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accountability.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt quickly in dynamic project environments.
- Demonstrated ability to support budgets, schedules, and documentation for projects.
Education, Experience, Certifications- 2-4 years of experience in project coordination, project management support, or related role.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Smartsuite, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- Knowledge of automation/controls, UL panel fabrication, or E-House projects a plus.
Salary Description
$85,000 - $99,000
