Responsibilities
- Lead financial oversight of a portfolio of large, complex projects.
- Serve as a trusted financial partner to Project Managers and Operational Leaders.
- Set up project budget within CMiC to ensure accuracy and alignment with contract.
- Establish & maintain job specific rate tables in accordance with contract.
- Lead owner billing process: prepare, review, post, and maintain billing trackers; participate in pencil reviews with clients as needed. Support collection efforts to receive payments within contract terms.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance, including insurance, lien waivers, and second-tier requirements.
- Manage subcontractor payment processes and respond to subcontractor inquiries.
- Review, approve, and cost-code invoices. Process cost reallocations.
- Partner with vendors and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Review monthly Cost-to-Complete (CTC) reports; analyze and explain gross profit fluctuations, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Provide support for internal and external audits.
- Attend Project Meetings as needed (kickoffs, financial reviews, & closeout).
- Prepare project Specific Work-in-Process (WIP) entries, including Risk & Opportunity (R&O) analysis.
- Support teams with project revenue projections and ensure alignment with project performance.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior accounting staff, as applicable.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years’ experience in project accounting with working knowledge of AIA billing, subcontractor compliance, cost forecasting & revenue recognition.
- Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or commensurate experience.
- Additional Role Specific Skills:
- Construction industry experience preferred - GC or subcontractor.
- CMIC & Textura experience preferred but not required.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Salary Range Information
Miami Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 The range stated is specific to Miami. Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles) and internal company equity.
