Overview

The Senior Engineering Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing the development of complex semiconductor wafer processing equipment and advanced vacuum process technologies. Working closely with Engineering, Technology, Operations, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership, this role drives strategic program execution from concept through product release and commercialization.

The Senior Engineering Program Manager leads large, cross-functional engineering programs, develops program strategies, manages schedules and budgets, drives risk mitigation activities, and ensures the successful delivery of product lifecycle milestones. This position requires strong leadership, technical aptitude, and the ability to influence multiple stakeholders in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead New Product programs involving multidisciplinary engineering teams consisting of Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Systems, and Process Engineers.
  • Drive program planning, execution, and delivery for complex semiconductor capital equipment programs.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, critical path analysis, risk registers, and mitigation plans.
  • Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), product configuration, costed BOMs, and product lifecycle deliverables.
  • Support product cost targets, engineering budgets, and resource allocation planning.
  • Partner with Technology and Engineering leadership to establish program priorities and resource requirements.
  • Lead program reviews, design reviews, milestone reviews, and executive status reporting.
  • Drive issue resolution and decision-making across multiple functional organizations.
  • Act as the primary interface between Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Technical Support, Quality, and Executive Management.
  • Ensure timely execution of product releases, manufacturing readiness, and customer commitments.
  • Mentor junior Program Managers and provide guidance on project management best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for program management processes and tools


Qualifications
  • BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related Engineering discipline required.
  • MS degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of engineering program or project management experience in semiconductor equipment, vacuum systems, or other complex capital equipment industries.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional engineering teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent development programs.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience managing complex electro-mechanical systems and large-scale automated equipment.
  • Strong understanding of NPI/NPD processes, product lifecycle management, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Ability to analyze complex system-level issues and drive cross-functional solutions.
  • Advanced project and program management skills including:
    • Schedule development and management
    • Risk management
    • Budget management
    • Resource planning
    • Executive reporting
  • Experience with:
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Microsoft Project
    • Power BI
    • Smartsheet
    • SAP / ERP / MRP systems
    • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
    • SolidWorks
  • AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence across organizations without direct authority.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally

Salary and BenefitsThe expected salary range for this position is $132,990 - $177,320, plus a bonus opportunity. We will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors when determining your pay.
