Role Summary

The Rivian Supply Chain team is looking for highly motivated and exceptional supply chain professionals to bring Rivian's engineered products to life. As a Procurement Controllership Program Manager you will support our direct purchasing teams in our vehicle and company financial objectives. Your role will focus primarily on day to day support of our Global Supply Management team members, understanding and recording the financial implications of the decisions they will make.

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our Direct Procurement Leadership, providing them oversight to their team's cost related activities and performance against company wide financial KPIs. You are expected to track numerous actions across a broad stakeholder group, and drive for accountability and accuracy for reporting.

This position is based onsite in Irvine, CA and reports to Program Manager, Procurement Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Adept at identifying, developing, tracking, and executing discrete tasks within a given project or program. Defined by end-to-end ownership of a project, program, or product.
  • Stakeholder Management: Leads cross-functional individual contributors through program and organization-wide projects. Engages frequently with cross-functional managers to ensure alignment. Proactively sets and manages expectations.
  • Communication: Acts as a strong distributor of information who knows how to engage larger groups and align information across working groups. Able to defuse conflicts and provide clear feedback to peers.
  • Risk Mitigation: Assesses the potential impact and probability of a risk occurring within a familiar context. Prioritizes risks and independently implements solutions for familiar problems.
  • Problem Solving: Analyzes the nature and causes of problems in their area and begins to formulate strategies to solve them. Makes complex decisions by applying reasoned judgment.
  • Procurement/Supplier/Financial Expertise: Understands the various factors of impact including economic, political, and technology landscapes with some direction. Also understands financial business principles to translate procurement actions back to financial implications. Supports leadership to achieve current and future strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience. Or a Masters degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven ability to take action on procurement strategies and achieve strategic initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: Applies best practices using a combination of established rules and experience to develop mitigation plans for recurring, medium-level risks.
  • Communication: Professional presentation skills; facilitates structured decision-making processes.
  • Execution: Independently implements solutions and collaborates on evaluating potential ideas with the team.
  • Operational Style: Operates with moderate autonomy to drive improvements and results within an assigned scope.

Pay Disclosure

The salary range for this role is $107,800 - $134,800 for Irvine, California based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.

The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
