About the Role:
As a Senior Program Manager in our Technology Excellence & Resilience (TER) organization — the team that ensures CrowdStrike's availability, reliability, and resilience through best-in-class infrastructure and engineering practices — you will own and drive complex, cross-functional engineering programs spanning multiple teams and organizations. You'll mobilize stakeholders across organizational boundaries, manage dependencies and competing priorities, ensure every team understands its role and commitments, and partner closely with engineering managers, technical leads, and cross-functional teams globally to surface critical issues early and drive programs to resolution with quality, consistency, and urgency. This role pairs hands-on program leadership with building AI-powered solutions that automate routine work, surface insights, and enhance decision-making for the teams you support. We're seeking program managers who are energetic, eager to learn, and flexible, and who thrive in a fast-paced environment through innovative, AI-enhanced program management.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week on-site at one of the posted locations.
What You'll Do
Program Management (70%)
Own complex, cross-functional programs end-to-end, operating independently from concept through measurable delivery.
Drive roadmap alignment across TER and partner engineering organizations, facilitating cross-org planning that ties program priorities to CrowdStrike's strategic imperatives and aligns leadership on sequencing, dependencies, and commitments.
Lead TER's quarterly and annual strategic planning — owning the process, documentation, and how the org prioritizes and staffs work.
Act as the neutral party across engineering and leadership teams, navigating roadmap conflicts and competing senior-leader priorities to build consensus.
Partner with engineering leaders at every level, from unblocking technical issues with engineers to delivering synthesized executive updates on program health, risks, and decisions needed.
Anticipate cross-team dependencies and risks before they become blockers, and drive mitigation with clear accountability.
Reduce friction in how TER plans and delivers, build a culture of accountability across distributed teams, and mentor junior program managers.
AI Tooling (30%)
Build AI-powered workflows, dashboards, and automated reporting that improve portfolio visibility and cut manual overhead.
Deploy AI agents and integrations across Jira, GitLab, monitoring, and infrastructure systems that automatically surface program health, risks, and dependencies.
Automate routine program management work to free capacity for strategic planning and cross-org leadership.
Drive AI adoption across TER through reusable agents, prompts, and workflows that scale organizational efficiency.
Set the standard for AI use in program management, establishing repeatable patterns others can build on across CrowdStrike engineering.
What You'll Need
US Citizen or Green Card holder status
12+ years driving complex, cross-functional engineering programs in fast-moving, high-scale environments — with a portfolio of outcomes you can point to, not just processes you ran.
Executive-level influence. You've earned trust with VPs and senior engineering leaders, brokered alignment when their priorities collided, and been the person leadership turns to for the real status.
Comfort as the most senior program voice in the room. You operate with full autonomy in ambiguity — orienting fast, deciding what matters, and moving without waiting for direction.
Ownership of org-level strategic planning. You've run quarterly and annual planning end-to-end for an engineering organization, including roadmap ownership, sequencing tradeoffs, and executive reporting.
A track record of changing how organizations work, not just how programs run — process improvements that outlived your involvement and scaled beyond your immediate teams.
Signal-over-noise communication. You compress complexity into the two things leadership needs to decide, and shift instantly between an engineer's blocker and an engineering leader’s roadmap.
Technical credibility. You've supported broad portfolios across infrastructure, cloud, reliability, developer tooling, or operational excellence, and know platform tooling (Go, Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD) well enough to challenge estimates and assess real technical risk. Expert-level Jira and Agile/Scrum command is a given.
Genuine AI fluency and a multiplier effect. Agentic tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot are part of your daily workflow, you build your own automation in Python or Go, and you've created skills and integrations — and mentored program managers — in ways that raised the bar across your organization.
Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.
Bonus Points
Experience at a hyperscaler or high-growth technology company.
Background in incident management, business continuity, or operational readiness at scale.
Experience driving org-wide AI tooling adoption.
Exposure to regulated or government cloud environments.
Cybersecurity or security-adjacent engineering background.
