Full Job Description
As a Program Manager, Aerospace Defense and Space here at Honeywell, you will lead and manage defense munition programs within the aerospace sector, ensuring successful project execution and delivery aligned with strategic business goals. You will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, managing cross-functional teams, and maintaining compliance with defense industry standards. In this role, you will impact the successful delivery of aerospace defense and space programs, contributing to national security and advancing Honeywell's position as a leader in defense technologies. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and manage defense munition programs ensuring alignment with customer requirements and business objectives. • Develop and implement program plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive program execution and resolve issues proactively. • Monitor program performance metrics and ensure compliance with defense industry standards and regulations. • Provide leadership and guidance to program teams fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. • Direct the work and approve resource requirements and program estimates while leading integrated program teams utilizing Integrated Product Delivery & Support (IPDS) Process. • Generate and implement program plans and business requirements within approved budget and schedule constraints. • Coordinate with various Customer Business Teams (CBTs) and Global Business Enterprise (GBE) to ensure their application programs are supported in terms of technical performance, schedule, and cost requirements • Employ PM tools and development processes, including statement-of-work (SOW) or Line of Balance (LOB), work-breakdown- structure (WBS), basis-of-estimate (BOE) Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE • Minimum of 7 years of experience in program management within aerospace defense or related sectors. • Strong knowledge of defense munition program requirements, compliance, and regulatory standards. • Proven ability to develop and manage complex program plans including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. • Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies specific to aerospace defense projects. • Proficiency in program management tools and methodologies applicable to defense and aerospace industries. WE VALUE • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. • Experience managing programs in aerospace defense and space sectors. • Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities tailored to complex defense projects. • Adaptability to dynamic environments and passion for continuous improvement and innovation. • 7 years of experience or knowledge of the Aerospace industry specifically in navigation • Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing; nice to have) • Strong communication (oral and written) and executive presentation skills Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
