Full Job Description
Description:

The Office of the Chief Innovation and Growth Officer (CIGO) is a newly formed, fast-scaling organization responsible for Vontier's product and technology strategy, product and engineering excellence, innovation, AI, data, and strategic partnerships.

As the organization grows, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Program & Operations to build and run the operating backbone of the CIGO organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Growth and Innovation Officer, this role will help translate strategic priorities into clear operating rhythms, program plans, decision forums, budgets, dashboards, and execution routines.

This is a highly visible role that blends program management, business operations, and chief-of-staff support. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, creates structure quickly, and can drive progress across senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own and manage the CIGO organization's operating cadence, including Portfolio Steering, Product Leadership Team meetings, Program Steering Committees, and CEO/Executive Gemba sessions.
  • Partner with the Executive Assistant to prepare agendas, pre-reads, meeting materials, decisions, and follow-up actions.
  • Support the AI & Data Governance Committee by managing reporting, tracking risks, and ensuring decisions are followed through.
  • Serve as a connector across Innovation & AI, Product Excellence, Data, and Strategic Partnerships to keep priorities, dependencies, and open decisions visible.
  • Build and maintain an integrated program plan for major initiatives, including the AI Network of Excellence, Product Success Team rollout, Product Excellence standard work, and data and analytics capability build-out.
  • Manage intake, prioritization, and tracking for cross-business innovation and transformation ideas.
  • Partner with team leaders to turn strategic priorities into executable roadmaps with clear owners, timelines, milestones, and success metrics.
  • Own budget planning, tracking, and reporting for the CIGO organization, including functional spend, project budgets, training, events, vendors, and contractors.
  • Partner with HR and leadership on headcount planning, org design support, open roles, backfills, and future hiring plans.
  • Build and maintain leadership dashboards and KPI reporting across key metrics such as productivity improvement, idea pipeline conversion, portfolio vitality, and capability maturity.
  • Plan and execute the annual Innovation Summit and other key leadership forums or offsites.
  • Coordinate with Corporate Strategy and Marketing on communications, board materials, and messaging tied to the innovation agenda.
  • Support communities of practice across product, engineering, innovation, and data teams, including forums, training, knowledge-sharing, and change management.
  • Help new processes, tools, and ways of working scale effectively across distributed and global teams.

Qualifications:

WHO YOU ARE

  • 8-12+ years of experience in program management, project management, business operations, strategy operations, or a chief-of-staff-type role.
  • Experienced supporting senior executives and/or fast-scaling teams.
  • Skilled at building operating rhythms, governance processes, dashboards, and execution routines from scratch.
  • Strong financial and operational fluency, including budget tracking, headcount planning, vendor management, and resource planning.
  • Excellent executive communicator with strong written materials, meeting facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable managing cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and evolving scope.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to bring structure to ambiguity.
  • Trusted with confidential strategic information and able to operate with discretion.
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to balance hands-on execution and strategic prioritization.
  • Able to influence and build trust across leaders and teams without direct authority.
  • Bachelor's degree required; PMP or equivalent program management certification preferred.
  • Willing to travel 10-20% for leadership offsites, summits, and key team events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a corporate strategy, innovation, transformation, or product-focused organization.
  • Familiarity with product management, new product development, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, SAFe, or business operating systems.
  • Experience working with global or distributed teams, including low-cost-country locations.
  • Experience planning executive offsites, leadership forums, or large-scale internal summits.
Hybrid position, with expectations of 3+ days per week at the Raleigh office.
