Position Summary

Cedar Gate Technologies, an IQVIA business, is seeking an experienced healthcare product leader to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of CARE solutions that support population health, care management, and value-based care initiatives. As the Senior Product Owner, Population Health, you will own product priorities and work closely with customers, business stakeholders, engineering teams, and executive leadership to deliver innovative solutions that address evolving healthcare market needs.

In this role, you will serve as the voice of the customer and business while balancing strategic priorities, market opportunities, technical considerations, and operational objectives. You will play a critical role in shaping product direction, influencing roadmap decisions, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-value capabilities that improve outcomes for healthcare organizations.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy & Ownership
  • Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and strategic priorities for CARE solutions.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog to ensure alignment with business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities.
  • Translate complex business requirements into actionable product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Drive product investment decisions using customer feedback, market analysis, competitive intelligence, and performance data.
  • Develop business cases and recommendations that support product growth, innovation, and market expansion.
  • Act as the primary advocate for customers and users, ensuring their needs are represented throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Product Delivery & Execution
  • Lead Agile product management activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, feature prioritization, and release planning.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, UX, Data, and Quality teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Make prioritization and tradeoff decisions that maximize business value while balancing customer, technical, and operational considerations.
  • Define and monitor product success metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Ensure product releases align with organizational goals, quality standards, compliance requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Support go-to-market activities, release communications, and adoption strategies for new product capabilities.
  • Customer & Market Engagement
  • Engage directly with healthcare organizations, providers, payers, and operational leaders to understand challenges and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback into product enhancements and future roadmap initiatives.
  • Monitor healthcare industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive developments to inform product strategy.
  • Represent the product organization in strategic customer discussions, product demonstrations, and executive presentations.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate emerging opportunities within value-based care, population health, and care management markets.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the central point of coordination between Product Management, Engineering, Client Success, Operations, Analytics, and Executive Leadership.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders and facilitate decision making on product priorities and strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate product strategy, roadmap updates, release plans, and business outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Mentor and influence team members on product management best practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, customer-centricity, and data-driven decision making.

Experience / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Significant experience serving as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar product leadership role within healthcare technology organizations.
  • Proven experience owning product roadmaps, prioritizing product backlogs, and leading cross-functional product development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success translating customer needs, business objectives, and operational requirements into scalable software solutions.
  • Experience working closely with software engineering, architecture, UX, and quality assurance teams within Agile development environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and prioritizing product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills, including the ability to effectively engage technical teams, business leaders, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to balance long-term vision and day-to-day execution.
  • Ability to define product success metrics and leverage customer feedback, operational insights, and market trends to inform product strategy and prioritization decisions.
  • Highly preferred: Experience with population health, care management, healthcare analytics, value-based care, or related healthcare technology solutions.
  • Highly preferred: Deep understanding of payer, provider, managed care, risk-bearing, delegated care, ACO, or MSO operating models.
  • Highly preferred: Demonstrated experience leading enterprise SaaS products through major enhancements, platform modernization efforts, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Highly preferred: Experience working directly with healthcare customers to identify business needs, define product requirements, and drive successful adoption of technology solutions.
  • Preferred: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), or a comparable Product Owner/Product Management certification.
  • Preferred: Experience using customer feedback, market research, and competitive intelligence to influence product strategy and roadmap decisions.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with EHR platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, Meditech, or similar healthcare technology ecosystems.
  • Preferred: Experience with healthcare interoperability standards, healthcare data exchange, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Preferred: Exposure to product commercialization, go-to-market planning, or product marketing activities.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting healthcare analytics, reporting, decision support, or data-driven product capabilities.
  • Preferred: MBA or other advanced degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related discipline.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $100,200.00 - $278,900.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
