Sr. Product Manager (Vacuum Systems)

Job Description

Brooks Automation is looking for a Product Manager for Vacuum Systems as we accelerate our growth journey. In this role, you will be the driving force behind the strategy and vision for cutting-edge semiconductor automation solutions. Specifically, you will be responsible for product strategy, product development, pricing, and delivery of customer-led innovative solutions. This pivotal role is dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art Vacuum Systems automation technology to Semiconductor OEMs, aligning with key industry trends such as Next Generation Nodes in Semiconductor Manufacturing, Emerging AI, EV Automotive, IoT, Advanced Packaging, Next Generation Node Logic, and beyond. Your responsibilities encompass not only shaping the Product Roadmaps but also overseeing a comprehensive product portfolio, with a special focus on guiding the success of Vacuum Systems-a key product line within Brooks.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Product Strategy and Development:

o Develop and execute product strategies aligned with business objectives.

o Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to define product features and specifications.

o Ensure products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Market Analysis:

o Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and a competitive landscape.

o Analyze market data to make informed decisions regarding product positioning and differentiation.

o Stay informed about emerging technologies and advancements in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Product Roadmaps:

o Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps aligned with company and customer needs.

o Communicate roadmaps internally to ensure cross-functional alignment.

o Regularly review and update roadmaps based on market feedback and technology advancements.
  • Voice of Customer (VOC):

o Actively engage with customers to gather feedback and understand their requirements (VOC).

o Incorporate VOC insights into product development and enhancement processes.

o Champion the customer perspective in product decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o Work closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment and successful product launches.

o Collaborate with key stakeholders to define product roadmaps and prioritize features.
  • Value Selling:

o Develop and articulate the value proposition of semiconductor equipment products.

o Train and support sales teams in effectively communicating the value of products to customers.

o Apply value-selling techniques to differentiate products in the market.
  • Customer Engagement:

o Build and maintain relationships with key customers to understand their needs and gather feedback.

o Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries and provide technical support when needed.
  • Financial Management:

o Develop and manage product budgets, including cost analysis and pricing strategies.

o Monitor product performance and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Product Lifecycle Management:

o Lead all aspects of the entire product lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life.

o Implement strategies for product enhancements, updates, and obsolescence.
  • Quality Assurance:

o Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet high-quality standards.

o Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and reliability.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) OR related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Product Management role.
  • Basic understanding of Market trends and Industry dynamics.
  • Masters of Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
  • Semiconductor manufacturing or related industry experience (Industrial Automation, Robotics) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Semiconductor Industry and Key Customers is a plus.
  • Knowledge of OEM Business Models and Partnerships is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% Globally (Europe, Asia and within the US).


Compensation
Base Salary Range: $148,351.35 USD to $200,710.65 USD

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
