About the team and the role:
eBay, Inc. seeks Sr. Product Manager 1 - Technical in San Jose, CA
What you will accomplish:
Job Duties: Manage the product strategy and roadmap for Identity Account Access and security product area - including sign-in, account recovery, and re-authentication - ensuring compliance with global standards (PSD2, GDPR) while optimizing user experience and security. Design and deliver secure, frictionless account access methods (Passkeys, Biometrics, TOTP, Push) and risk-based verification systems. Partner with cross functional teams -Engineering, Security, Legal, and UX teams to build scalable, privacy-compliant identity solutions. Use data and experimentation (SQL, Tableau, Optimizely) to measure KPIs, reduce account takeover risk, and improve conversion. Author PRDs, lead Agile delivery, manage stakeholders, and oversee API-first, ML-based authentication systems for anomaly detection and behavioral biometrics. Stay current on emerging global identity standards and represent eBay in relevant industry initiatives. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
What you will bring:
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a closely related field, plus five (5) years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Experience defining and organizing business requirements, translating analytical insights into product specifications, and managing project execution using structured, iterative, or Agile development practices (2 years)
2. Experience performing data analysis using SQL and developing data visualizations using tools such as Tableau or Power BI to measure KPIs and inform product decisions (1 year)
3. Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests, conducting cohort analysis, and interpreting results using statistical and quantitative techniques (2 years)
4. Experience collaborating with engineering, design, and data science teams to deliver user-facing and analytical solutions in a product or platform environment (2 years)
5. Experience applying quantitative analysis, statistical reasoning, and hypothesis testing to evaluate product outcomes and inform prioritization (1 year)
6. Experience collaborating with data science teams to define or evaluate predictive models that leverage user or system data to optimize performance or decision-making (1 year)
7. Experience synthesizing complex data and technical concepts into clear presentations, reports, and documentation for diverse stakeholders, including product, engineering, and leadership teams (2 years)
Salary: $181,293.00-245,100.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional Details
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
