Job Title
Sr Product Engineering Leader

What does a successful Senior Product Engineering Leader do at Fiserv?
A successful Senior Product Engineering Leader at Fiserv drives product velocity, engineering delivery excellence, and AI-enabled development practices that help teams ship faster with higher quality and stronger business impact. This leader connects product leadership, P&L owners, and engineering teams by translating business priorities into delivery commitments, removing bottlenecks, and raising accountability across the software delivery lifecycle. They also strengthen CI/CD, release governance, and operational readiness in a regulated fintech environment while keeping the primary focus on feature throughput, measurable outcomes, and production reliability.

What you will do?
  • Partner with product managers, P&L leaders, and business stakeholders to translate roadmap priorities into engineering delivery commitments, co-own delivery metrics and release milestones, and provide clear, data-driven visibility into capacity, velocity trends, delivery risk, and investment trade-offs.
  • Define and drive engineering KPIs such as cycle time, lead time, deployment frequency, feature throughput, developer experience metrics, and customer-facing quality measures while building a culture of delivery accountability and reducing technical debt and legacy complexity that slow product delivery.
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks across planning, dependency management, testing throughput, review cycles, release coordination, and launch execution to improve feature flow from backlog to production.
  • Lead adoption of AI-assisted development practices by integrating tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Amazon CodeWhisperer, or equivalent into standardized workflows, advancing agentic AI use cases for repetitive engineering tasks, evaluating emerging tools, and partnering with platform engineering to ensure secure and compliant adoption.
  • Design and implement CI/CD standards, automated quality gates, release patterns, deployment controls, audit trails, and operational readiness practices across microservices, data pipelines, core banking integrations, API platforms, and infrastructure changes in support of reliable, high-confidence releases.

What you must have?
  • 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 5+ years in a senior engineering leadership role owning product delivery outcomes.
  • 10+ years of experience partnering directly with product management and P&L leaders, including joint roadmap ownership and executive-level reporting.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and scaling CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release controls, and production readiness practices for distributed systems, plus 8+ years operating in product engineering delivery environments.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, related experience, and/or military experience.

What would be nice to have?
  • Experience scaling engineering organizations from 50 to 200+ team members across distributed geographies, including GCC or offshore leadership models.
  • Experience implementing 4 major release patterns at scale: blue-green deployments, canary releases, progressive rollout, and feature flags.
  • Experience leading AI-enabled SDLC transformation across 1 or more enterprise-scale engineering organizations in fintech, payments, core banking, or similarly regulated environments.
