York International Corporation seeks Sr Product Engineer at its facility located at 5000 Renaissance Drive, New Freedom, PA 17349.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Contribute to the product team through product design, testing, and data analysis. Support the manufacturing of the product, represent the design team through initiating and executing design changes. Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to clearly present information to engineering teammates, engineering managers, product management, and business leaders. Work under the product engineering manager to assist in the design and development of new products and support production of existing products globally. Guide and participate in various engineering activities to resolve factory and field technical issues. Maintain an understanding of theories, concepts, technical principles and processes related to mechanical and electrical aspects of chillers. Possess proficiency in mechanical design and be able to conceptualize and implement design ideas into the product. Work closely with the design and drafting group in generating chiller layout concepts and system configurations. Generate engineering/design documentation and compile technical documents for use within the company. Prepare and execute test programs to verify performance and reliability of electrical and mechanical components and systems. Review and analyze test data and provide input for design and troubleshooting. Apply regulatory codes such as UL, CE, PED and ASME in product design. Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and apply the philosophy of designing to standard manufacturing processes. Report on the status of the projects. Strive for continuous improvement and teamwork in a global product development environment. No Telecommuting Allowed.

REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and Five (5) years of experience as a Product Engineer, Design Engineer, or related occupation in a design and product development environment. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Manufacturing and DFM; (2) Refrigeration and HVAC; (3) Creating and maintaining DFMEA; (4) Creo and other 3D as well as 2D drafting software; (5) Submitting Engineering Changes and tracking progress; and (6) Electrical experience such as electric motors, controls, and electrical wiring.
