Overview

As a Senior Product Developer, you will lead the development of technical gear products from concept through production readiness. This role focuses on categories such as packs, travel bags, luggage, sleeping bags, bike bags, coolers, and sewn accessories. You will partner with product strategy, design, testing, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to create innovative products that meet performance, quality, and cost goals while delivering exceptional experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Lead development of technical gear products including packs, travel bags, luggage, sleeping bags, bike bags, and coolers from brief through design to production readiness.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical specifications, product documentation, and CAD drawings.
  • Manage prototype development, evaluate performance and manufacturability, and guide product improvements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and manufacturing suppliers to resolve technical and production challenges.
  • Support target costing, pre-costing, and cost engineering activities to achieve business goals.


Qualifications
  • 7+ years of product development experience.
  • Experience developing technical gear products, preferably within categories such as packs, luggage, sleeping bags, bike bags, coolers, or sewn accessories.
  • Strong knowledge of product development, manufacturing, and commercialization processes.
  • Experience creating technical specifications and technical illustrations using Adobe Illustrator.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, PLM systems, Microsoft Office, and SolidWorks.
  • Experience improving development processes and introducing new manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience with Browzwear or other 3D product development tools.
  • Experience working with global manufacturing partners.
