Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Be an integral part of the product design team that isevolvingCNN’s advertising products and footprints across desktop web, mobile web, mobile app, and video surfaces.

  • Create user flows,mockups,andinteractive prototypesto effectively conceptualize product features.

  • Help driveuser research sessions and usability teststo better understandour consumers.

  • Create, contribute, and maintain components for our design system.

  • Champion our design principles, design systems and product roadmap, and serve our editorial teams’ needs.

  • Play a role in shaping the future of CNN'smonetizationby collaborating with stakeholders and team members to brainstorm, envision, and validate new ad products and footprints.
     

Qualifications & Experience…

  • 5+ years as a product designer, with at least 2 years inad tech,marketing tech, or growthdesign.

  • StrongFigmaexperience, including with variables, components, styles, and shared libraries.

  • A good track record of product thinking, helping teams understand and prioritize the problems they’re solving as part of thedesign effort.

  • Excellent written and verbal communicationskills.

  • Proficiency in utilizing, creating and modifying design system components to create scalable, delightful user experiences.

  • Experience workingon consumer-facing productswithin large-scale organizations. Bonus points for experience in news/media.

  • A demonstrated ability to manage complex design challenges and a strong record of fostering cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder alignment.

  • Strength inbest practices of user experience design, including usability principles, user research methodology, testing techniques (A/B, Multi-Variant), design theory, and interaction design.

  • Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
