Responsibilities

Responsibilities
  • Analyze business objectives, enterprise customer needs, product adoption inhibitors and opportunities, industry trends, and based on these, in close collaboration with your stakeholders, define a long-term strategy and roadmap for your platform and product components.
  • Analyze architectural bottlenecks to define the long-term technical strategy and multi-year roadmaps for core Sales, Commerce & Finance systems (e.g., billing engine, quoting/CPQ, subscriptions, and platform APIs).
  • Translate complex quote-to-cash business models and compliance/financial requirements into clear, prioritized technical system problems and architecture roadmaps.
  • Define and lead high-impact, cross-organizational technical programs (e.g., enterprise billing modernization, legacy platform migrations, high availability, and SOX/financial controls). Identify product gaps and/or define specific systems programs and create a plan of action for realizing that strategy. Such programs could be around capacity planning, cloud services, product experience redesign or new product development work.
  • Use your technical understanding of Atlassian and related systems to partner with and influence engineers and architects in making progress on these problems.
  • Responsible for taking a systematic approach to engineering problems. This includes: prioritizing tasks, scoping out the project, defining objectives, and making consistent progress against each of these.
  • Be accountable for the success of these initiatives from concept to planning, execution and adoption
  • Partner with and influence UX Designers, Principal Engineers, Architects, and Engineering Directors to shape experience, system flows, API designs, and scalable platform integrations.
  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Billing Ops, and GTM to understand and prioritize user problems and ensure seamless execution and risk mitigation.
  • Drive operational excellence and predictable delivery across multi-quarter programs with structured governance, transparent metrics, and dependency management.
  • Mentor and elevate the Technical Program Management craft across the organization.
