  • Provide requirements expertise for future systems planning and supervision of development contractors.
  • Create presentations and documentation for Program Manager engagements, including technical roadmaps and implementation strategies.

Description

SAIC is seeking a Sr Principal Systems Engineer to provide Systems Engineer Technical Advisor (SETA) services for a critical position on an SAIC's Prime Program supporting the NRO.

Job Responsibilities to include:
  • Oversee technical and programmatic interchanges; identify and resolve issues; and provide engineering and technical advice to the customer to achieve innovative capabilities for collection orchestration.
  • Provide Systems engineering and technical support to the Government customer to evolve collection orchestration programs; develop and evaluate system trades and interfaces throughout the program life-cycle.
  • Apply systems analysis and design methodology assessments to identify technical debt, architectural runway and efficiency trade-offs against current and proposed/desired cloud-based software system design.
  • Provide software system design and requirements expertise to support the planning of future systems and architectures, and oversight of development contractors.
  • Develop briefings and documentation material for Program / Project Manager's engagements, including developing technical roadmaps and the acquisition strategies/documentation to implement them.
  • Will work side-by-side with the other LANDMARK AOS staff comprised of world class System Engineers, Acquisition Engineers and Domain Experts to lead the customer in acquiring modern processing applications.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience. Relevant experience to be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Poly.
  • Familiarity with support of Intelligence Community's (IC) GEOINT systems and capability development.
  • Domain experience in IC and Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Knowledge of GEOINT systems and overall space and ground architecture including mission control and mission processing functions.
  • Knowledge of Agile acquisition strategy, development, and release planning, as well as continuous integration initiatives supporting mission capability releases enabling End -to-End GEOINT missions.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and verbal / written communication skills, able to convey information across multiple customers and corporate audiences.
