As a member of the I&T department, the candidate will work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make our technologies a reality. This position will serve on-site at our Woodland Hills, CA facility. This position will be 100% on-site. Job Responsibilities - Identifying unique requirements from a broad customer base, flowing the requirements into design documentation, and working with a diverse team to build and test those requirements - Work on the capabilities of current products, performance analyses, design information, and requirements verification methods - Ensure logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints - Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation - Generate, review, and manage multiple requirements sets that cover all aspects of both performance and nonperformance including mechanical interfaces, electrical interfaces, data requirements, environmental requirements, and reliability - Design, develop, and implement testing methods to verify and validate project requirements - Performing hands-on electrical testing at CCA level and systems level test setups - Documenting & dispositioning hardware discrepancies, pursuing root cause & corrective actions Basic Qualifications: - 8 years relevant experience with B.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline equivalent; or 6 years relevant experience with M.S. Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline equivalent; or 3 years relevant experience with PhD Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline equivalent - Active US Government Secret Level security clearance - Experience in System Engineering activities such as: - Requirements development - Test Procedure development - Verification and Validation i.e. experience running tests and documenting results - Ability to diagnose complex issues, lead problem-solving efforts, and drive tasks to completion - Demonstrated teamwork and leadership of projects or teams - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Willingness to work onsite in Woodland Hills, Ca as required by this position Preferred Qualifications: - Active US Government TS/SCI with poly security clearance - Experience with IBM Rational DOORS and technical baseline management - Systems Engineering experience on large, complex systems - Experience supporting test investigations and debugging efforts - Proficient in at least one of the following programming environments: MATLAB, C, C++, C#, and/or Python - Experience creating automated test scripts that integrate with hardware interfaces - Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers - Working knowledge of standard design components: filters, couplers, splitters, amplifiers, etc. - Experience working with operational hazards such as overhead lifting, Thermal Chambers, and Vibration Test systems - Strong track record of driving innovation and spearheading digital-transformation initiatives in test workflows - Experience engaging external customers through meetings, presentations, and technical negotiations Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
