As a Senior Principal Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Bank - AI/ML & Data Platforms team, youprovide deep engineering expertise and work across agile teams to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Leverage your deep expertise to consistently challenge the status quo, innovate for business impact, lead the strategic development behind new and existing products and technology portfolios, and remain at the forefront of industry trends, best practices, and technological advances.

Job responsibilities

  • Advises and leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives
  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Makes decisions that influence teams27 resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
  • Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations
  • Delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
  • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience

  • Extensive experience in building and running AWS/public cloud based applications
  • Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists
