Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector (NGAS) is seeking a Sr. PrincipalIndustrial Security Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Melbourne, Florida.

Position Summary

The Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) / SAP Security Officer leads day-to-day security operations for assigned Special Access Program (SAP) and other classified activities. This role ensures compliance with DD Form 254 requirements, DoDM 5205.07, customer security instructions, and applicable regulations. The CSSO manages access processing, classified material accountability, security education and training, inspections, incident response, and serves as a key liaison with government customers and internal/external stakeholders.

Essential Job Functions
  • Ensure overall program compliance in accordance with contractual requirements outlined in DD Form 254, DoDM 5205.07, customer instructions, and other applicable regulations.
  • Lead security management and related operations within the assigned activity, including Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program responsibilities.
  • Generate, review, and manage Program Access Request (PAR) packages in support of customer/program access requirements.
  • Maintain accountability and control of classified material and classified media as required by contract(s), including appropriate documentation and records.
  • Develop, document, and deliver classified security education, awareness, and training activities for program personnel.
  • Conduct annual self-inspections, document results, develop corrective action plans as required, and submit corrective action plans to the Program Security Officer (PSO).
  • Analyze, investigate, and resolve classified security issues; provide leadership, guidance, and actionable direction to employees, supervisors, and managers.
  • Maintain liaison with government agencies, external customers, contractors, employees, and managers to support mission execution and compliance.


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree with 8 years of security related experience, Masters Degree with 6 years of security related experience OR an additional 4 years of security related experience will be considered in-lieu of a degree
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Must have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance with in-scope investigation (T5, T5R, SSBI, SBPR, PR) completed within the last 5 years or current enrollment in Continuous Evaluation (CE) program
  • Ability to meet enhanced security requirements and obtain/maintain SAP and SCI eligibility and access


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain SAP and SCI access
  • Working knowledge of DoD, SAP, and SCI programs to provide procedural and policy guidance.
  • Ability to work independently and lead multi-stakeholder projects to completion
  • Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Expertise in executing program security requirements based on the Department of Defense Manual 5205.07
  • Direct experience supporting SAPF construction/renovation activities, including coordination with facilities, construction teams, vendors, and government security stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing ICD 705 requirements to support secure facility accreditation/acceptance, including documentation development and compliance verification through inspections/walkdowns.
  • Experience developing or executing construction/renovation security measures for classified areas (e.g., access controls, visitor/escort procedures, secure storage, and material control during build/upgrade efforts).
  • Experience supporting TEMPEST/emanations security requirements and translating technical mitigation requirements into actionable facility and operational controls.
  • Training or experience with RF shielding/emissions testing and tracking TEMPEST findings through remediation/closure.


Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
