AECOM's **Ohio Buildings + Places** team is looking for a **Senior Plumbing Designer** to lead technically complex projects across diverse market sectors-all within a collaborative, high-performing environment. This is a **hybrid role based in Columbus, OH**.

**What You'll Do**
As a Senior Plumbing Designer, you'll take ownership of plumbing system design from concept through construction, delivering coordinated, code-compliant, and buildable solutions for both new construction and renovations.
- Lead plumbing design for complex building projects, including domestic water, sanitary/vent, storm, medical gas, compressed air, and specialty systems
- Serve as the plumbing discipline lead-driving technical quality, constructability, and coordination
- Perform system layouts, sizing calculations, and specifications with minimal oversight
- Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection teams
- Support construction administration through site visits, submittal and RFI reviews
- Identify and solve design challenges proactively, applying codes, standards, and best practices
**Lead, Mentor, Elevate**
- Mentor junior designers and engineers, supporting technical growth and confidence
- Contribute to training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the team
- Build credibility as a trusted technical leader within Ohio and AECOM's broader US practice
**Contribute Beyond Projects**
- Provide technical input for proposals, scopes, and client deliverables
- Collaborate with project managers and leadership to meet project and business goals
**Qualifications**
**Minimum:**
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of plumbing design experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
**Preferred:**
- **8+ years** in consulting or design-build environments
- Strong knowledge of IPC, IMC, IECC, ASHRAE, and related codes
- Experience in healthcare, federal, labs, mission-critical, or commercial projects
- LEED or sustainable design experience
- CPD and/or PE licensure
- Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively
