What you'll do:

Primary Function:

This position is responsible for converting customer demand/requirements in SAP to production signals trough a Production Plan. This plan must be aligned to Plant specific goals such as On time delivery, Productivity, Sales, DOH and Past due. This position is the main plant contact for the Customer Service Representative that handles the product families under hers/his planning scope. This position can act as the planning lead back up and should be abel to assist and provide guidance to other planners in their day to day activities.

Essential Functions:

1 Follow MRP signals to create work orders timely to satisfy customer demand, achieve desired safety stock and maintain work flow on the production line in alignment with the Master Production Schedule.
2 Create and deliver a production plan and sequence to achieve OTD, Sales and Productivity.
3 Communicate and coordinate with product line supervisors/leaders and purchasing teams to ensure schedule attainment and recovery if required
4 Monitor and report to purchasing area material shortages
5 Communicate frequently, proactively with customer service team to meet or exceed customer expectations and maintain up to date backlog status
6 Follow up with production control status of work orders, investigate factors that affect schedules to modify production plan as necessary
7 Follow escalation process of potential issues related with OTD, sales and productivity and support action plan for short and long term solutions
8 Develop and participate (as required) in negotiation process of Eaton claims (i.e., cost, time, rework, scrap, labor, sorting charges) with suppliers regarding non-conforming material
9 Support NPI team as required
10 Support the Planning lead and act as a back up for critical activities
11 Support the Quality standards for our customer specific requirements and certifications *ISO, IATF
12 Follow MRP signals to create work orders timely to satisfy customer demand, achieve desired safety stock and maintain work flow on the production line in alignment with the Master Production Schedule.

  • Bachelor Degree Engineering or Administration
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning in an automotive manufacturing environment or similar. 3+ experience in MRP Planning
  • Strong knowledge on SAP and Excel. APICS certification (preferable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
