Full Job Description
The Sr. Performance Excellence Specialist will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance at an assigned plant. You will manage technical documentation, develop process control strategies, and execute loss elimination opportunities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate process documents, apply continuous improvement initiatives, and support plant FSQA activities. Additionally, you will assist training system development and coach teams on best practices for operational excellence.

A Day in the Life...
• Ensure accurate creation and ongoing management of technical documentation (manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), checklists, forms, process diagrams, and any other documentation required).
• Position requires knowledge of core areas within Operations (Production, Finance, Quality, Planning, etc.)
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SME) and cross-functional teams to document current processes, conduct research to identify and resolve documentation issues (procedures, concepts, presentation, and usability) and participate in document validations and revalidations to produce accurate and comprehensive technical documents.
• May provide oversight for the Plant Technical Change Management Process. Ensure appropriate documentation, communication, and approvals.
• Interfaces with all functional groups to apply best practices and execute change that links continuous improvement opportunities with short-term tactical and long-term strategic initiatives.
• Develop control strategies to enable team members to respond to out-of-control situations, analyze line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities, lead root cause problem solving efforts on key chronic losses, and coach teams on centerline execution and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to effectively facilitate team meetings; communicate issues within an area, across shifts, and follow-up on actions.
• Administer and provide oversight of plant training using the Alchemy system. Maintain training program calendars and track fulfillment of training requirements for all plant employees.
• Ensure network document standardization is maintained, share improved methods and document changes with other functions and plants, and act as resource for best practices across the network when necessary.
• Assist with continuous improvement activities (project leadership, problem-solving training, team formation, monitoring of project progress, information sharing).
• Gain knowledge of and train on continuous improvement tools within the plants, i.e., Six Sigma and Focus-Improve methodology and Principles of Lean Manufacturing.
• Support and promote food safety and quality program initiatives within the plant environment.

Annual Salary:
$80,169 - $103,730
