Application deadline: Aug 31, 2026

AWS is seeking a Sr. Partner Sales and Development Ops Lead to join the AMER/AWSI Partner Sales & Development Operations organization. This role will serve as a senior builder within the organization's Rhythm of the Business (ROB) Architecture team, responsible for designing, building, operationalizing, and running scalable mechanisms that enable the AMER/AWSI Partner Sales and Development leadership team to inspect performance, make decisions, and execute consistently across a complex and evolving business.

The Sr. Partner Sales and Development Ops Lead will translate defined operational strategies and business requirements into common operating mechanisms, tools, processes, and inspection models that can serve the broader organization. The role will report directly to the AMER/AWSI Partner Sales & Development Operations Leader and work horizontally across the Operations leadership team to create an integrated operating architecture rather than duplicative mechanisms within individual businesses.

The successful candidate will combine strong business judgment, operational rigor, analytical capability, and mechanism design skills. They will be comfortable moving between architecture, build strategy, and execution; taking a defined operational strategy and set of business requirements and determining how those requirements should be translated into scalable operating mechanisms. This includes developing the build and execution strategy, designing the mechanism architecture, determining the appropriate tooling, data, processes, and cross-functional dependencies, driving implementation end-to-end, and establishing the governance and cadence required to operate and continuously improve the mechanism.

Key job responsibilities
• Own the architecture, build, operationalization, and execution of AMER/AWSI AI-Powered Rhythm of the Business (ROB) mechanisms, including business reviews, goal and performance inspections, pipeline and deal inspections, planning, leadership cadences, and other recurring processes required to run the business.
• Translate defined operational strategies and business requirements into scalable mechanisms, determining how needs should be solved through process design, data, tooling, automation, governance, and cross-functional interlocks.
• Build reusable tools, templates, inspection models, and operating standards rather than one-off solutions, and own mechanisms from design through launch, adoption, sustained execution, and continuous improvement.
• Partner horizontally with Operations business partners and strategic Operations leads to translate requirements into integrated mechanisms spanning geography, industry, business segment, partner motion, and role.
• Establish clear architecture across purpose, inputs, outputs, ownership, data requirements, decision points, escalation paths, cadence, governance, and measures of effectiveness.
• Build and manage scalable goal and performance management mechanisms spanning target setting, forecasting, tracking, attainment, variance identification, and get-to-green planning.
• Create executive inspection experiences that lead with insights, decisions, actions, and accountability rather than data alone.
• Partner with Data & Insights, Business Intelligence, Finance, Field Sales Operations, and other teams to translate operating requirements into reporting, dashboards, skills, automation, and tooling.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, consolidate, automate, and AI-enable recurring work while eliminating duplicative or ineffective mechanisms.
• Design for scale and exportability, enabling successful mechanisms and operating standards to be reused across Partner teams, geographies, and interlocking organizations.
• Influence across organizational boundaries, manage complex cross-functional dependencies, and serve as a senior Operations point of contact for ROB architecture and mechanism design across AMER/AWSI Partner Sales & Development.

A day in the life

Mechanism Architecture & Execution:

The ROB Architecture Sales Ops Lead is expected to take a defined operational strategy and requirements and determine the best operating solution, rather than simply executing against a predefined specification. This requires working backwards from the intended leadership decision or business outcome to determine what mechanism is required, how information should flow through it, what data and tooling are necessary, which stakeholders need to participate, how decisions and actions will be captured, and how the mechanism should connect to the broader ROB.

The role then carries that architecture through implementation and sustained operation. Ownership does not end when a mechanism launches. The ROB Architecture Sales Ops Lead is accountable for establishing the operating cadence, driving adoption, evaluating effectiveness, identifying friction or gaps, and continuously evolving the mechanism as the business and its requirements change. The objective is to create an operating environment where strategy can be translated into repeatable execution at scale, without requiring each individual business or Operations partner to independently build the infrastructure needed to run their organization.

About the team

Role in the AMER/AWSI Operations Model:

The AMER/AWSI Partner Sales & Development Operations organization combines dedicated business partnership, strategic operational leadership, and centralized ROB architecture and execution. Operations business partners work directly with their aligned business leaders to understand business priorities and define the operational requirements needed to execute and inspect their businesses. Strategic Operations leads translate broader business strategies that span multiple organizations into integrated operational strategies, requirements, priorities, desired outcomes, and success measures.

The ROB Architecture team provides the common architecture and execution layer beneath those roles. Rather than individual Operations leads independently building similar tools, reports, processes, and leadership mechanisms, ROB Architecture takes defined strategies and requirements and determines how to deliver them at scale. The ROB Architecture Sales Ops Lead owns the strategy for that "how": determining the appropriate mechanism architecture and build approach; defining the required data, tooling, processes, and interlocks; coordinating cross-functional resources; driving implementation and adoption; and establishing the governance and operating model required to run the mechanism over time.

For cross-organizational strategies such as the industry-first Partner operating model, the Strategic Industry Ops Lead defines the integrated operational strategy and requirements needed to connect the business across organizations and the build-to-revenue lifecycle. ROB Architecture uses those requirements to determine how the necessary inspection and operating mechanisms should be architected, implemented, and run. ROB role requires strategic judgment about how to solve a defined business requirement in a way that is simple, scalable, sustainable, and integrated with the broader operating architecture.

Partnership with Data & Insights Org:

ROB Architecture serves as an important bridge between business operating requirements and the technical capabilities needed to enable them. The ROB Architecture Sales Ops Lead partners with Data & Insights, Business Intelligence, and other technical teams to define the data, reporting, dashboard, automation, and tooling requirements necessary to support each mechanism. The role is responsible for ensuring technical development remains anchored to the intended business use case and operating experience.

ROB Architecture does not replace the technical ownership of Data & Insights or independently recreate underlying data infrastructure. Instead, the role determines how data and technical capabilities need to come together within the operating mechanism, translates those needs into clear requirements, prioritizes dependencies, and integrates the resulting capabilities into the end-to-end ROB. This partnership allows AMER/AWSI to create scalable mechanisms without duplicating data infrastructure and ensures new reporting, automation, and AI capabilities are developed against clearly defined business and leadership use cases.
