Your New Role...

The Senior Manager, Originals Marketing is a culturally fluent, concept-driven creative responsible for developing and delivering standout marketing materials across HBO and Max Originals campaigns. This role focuses on bringing big ideas to life-crafting compelling creative that elevates our content, sharpens our voice in the market, and drives audience engagement.

Working at the intersection of storytelling, design, and culture, this role partners closely with the Creative Director, Strategy, and cross-functional teams to translate campaign direction into high-impact creative execution. The Senior Manager is responsible for shaping and executing ideas across key touchpoints-including social, key art, A/V, and experiential-ensuring work is cohesive, platform-native, and resonant with audiences.

In collaboration with internal teams and external agencies, the Senior Manager helps operationalize creative concepts into scalable, global campaign assets that feel globally and strategically cohesive no matter where they show up. This role requires strong creative instincts paired with a hands-on approach to execution-someone who can move seamlessly from idea to output while maintaining a high bar for craft and consistency.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple campaigns simultaneously, and is deeply attuned to how premium content shows up in culture. This role also supports the development of junior team members and contributes to raising the overall creative standard across the team.

Through best-in-class execution, this role will help drive engagement with our Originals and reinforce HBO and Max as premium destinations defined by bold, culturally relevant creative.

Your Role & Responsibilities
  • Translate strategic direction and audience insights into compelling, culturally relevant creative ideas that drive engagement and conversation
  • Contribute to and help shape the overall creative approach for campaigns, ensuring work ladders up to a cohesive vision across all consumer touchpoints
  • Drive concept development across formats including social, digital, A/V, key art, and experiential activations
  • Manage the creative process end-to-end across multiple projects, from ideation through production and final delivery
  • Partner with internal teams and external agencies to execute high-impact creative, providing clear direction and actionable feedback
  • Oversee content capture, marketing shoots, and asset development, ensuring creative excellence and alignment with campaign goals
  • Manage the development of social/editorial content and creative stunts designed to spark conversation and amplify talent and press moments
  • Collaborate with international marketing teams to adapt creative for local markets while maintaining the integrity of the campaign vision
  • Analyze performance and audience feedback to inform creative optimizations and future campaign development
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and talent, confidently communicating creative ideas and managing feedback
  • Deftly manage, communicate, and persuade talent and stakeholders (showrunners/filmmakers, producers, actors).
  • Partner closely with the strategy team members, Programming/Content teams, growth marketing, product marketing, media planning, editorial merchandising, PR, and other cross-divisional teams to lead multiple concurrent campaigns.
  • Track creative budgets across multiple campaigns, ensuring efficient resource allocation.


Qualifications & Experience
  • At least 7 years of creative experience in the entertainment or creative advertising industry executing marketing campaigns, and at least 2 years of experience managing a team.
  • Develop a positive culture that instills empathy and fosters inclusion
  • Possess a sincere love for streaming entertainment, television, movies, and storytelling.
  • Demonstrate an ability to lead highly creative campaigns, with the ability to meet a high bar of quality content creation.
  • Proven ability to art direct and guide designers/agency partners, with a strong understanding of composition, typography, photography, and visual storytelling
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior team members on how to successfully execute a campaign and navigate the complexities and intricacies with key stakeholders, deadlines, and business priorities.
  • Excel at pitching creative and persuasive communication.
  • Exercise good creative judgment and understand how to balance what is best for the team, campaign, and the business overall.
  • Understand the current dynamic entertainment and streaming landscape, competitive creative campaigns and consumer trends, as well as shifts in our business needs.
  • Build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships across the enterprise organization, including effective communication skills and conflict resolution.

Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $101,570.00 - $188,630.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
