Qualifications

• 10+ years of Oracle database administration experience, specifically with large scale or enterprise-level databases.
• Extensive expertise in Oracle database design, modeling, and migration processes.
• Significant experience with Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Recovery Manager (RMAN) for backup and recovery.
• Strong knowledge of security measures, including Data Guard and DB Vault.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Current Security + CE certification required.
• Must possess active TS/SCI Polygraph clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Oracle 19c databases within a Data Guard configuration.
• Manage and maintain Oracle Data Guard, utilizing Data Guard Broker effectively.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Fast-Start Failover across distributed environments.
• Conduct routine and emergency database patching, ensuring proper validation.
• Monitor database health and performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Manage switchover and fail-over operations with accuracy and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot Data Guard issues, addressing transport/apply lag, archive gaps, and broker errors.
• Maintain robust backup and recovery processes using RMAN.
